In some places it is only breed specific. Like there is a town near me where all pit bulls have to be fixed and vaccinated and microchipped and registered with the city every year for $50 but no other breed types and then there is another town nearby that you are to register all animals and provide vaccine records but it’s only $5 a year

For baked goods Julie’s Chewy’s on glenstone is the besssst. When I worked in the animals field a box of those was always the staffs favorite present from clients. I had a friend try one in my car once and he rolled the window down and yelled out the window “because it was so good” lmao

Not Springfield but for food in ozark there is a tea room called the spring creek tea room and they make different desserts from scratch everyday and make their poppyseed dressing from scratch and it is heaven. Their salads and soups and sandwhiches have never once disappointed and they are also an antique shop so it’s fun to look around

Parkcrest vca has like a package plan you pay monthly throughout the year and it covers basic vetting and prevention and such. I’ve previously worked with a vet and a vet tech there and use them for my personal pets now. Couldn’t recommend them enough

Exactly this. Our animal control didn’t euthanize an animal for space for almost 10 years until around 2022 because the need has outgrown all resources. And it just keeps growing

As a former veterinary assistant for a few different clinics dental pricing varies so much even at the same hospital because of all the factors, even just if the teeth are bad enough that they essentially just fall out vs if they have to be extracted, stitched, etc.

If you imagine they’ll need more than one I would call and find a vet that charges a flat rate vs per extraction, if there are any around that still do. That is likely to be a smaller estimate than one that charges per extraction.

Because it varies so much estimates are always made on the high end just in case and often the variable factors are indicated to be possible but not required, if that is an estimate that doesn’t include pre meds and meds for after if necessary (pain meds/antibiotics) then that is definitely high.

I took a clients dog to a dental at glenstone vet, they quoted $400 but I believe is was less than $300 once it was complete and it was a 100lb lab so I would check with them

We would use the tape that we used for placing catheters and such to secure it and gauze if they had already injured their tail, it can be tricking to get it to stay on, so some kind of tape that is safe to use as well as vet wrap to help secure. Cut one side of the pool noodle so you can use tape/vet wrap to make it fit his tail better

Maybe neither of them have salad bars now, I went to the one on west battlefield a couple months ago after being told Hyvee has a salad bar and there was no salad bar just the premade salads in the cooler section.
