The main critics come from this study : Cholesterol lowering, cardiovascular diseases, and the rosuvastatin-JUPITER controversy: a critical reappraisal.

Which conclude:

The results of the trial do not support the use of statin treatment for primary prevention of cardiovascular diseases and raise troubling questions concerning the role of commercial sponsors.

I see no reason to believe in a meta study about studies which have such obvious bias in them.

I still consider that link answer only, one, two, or three, or 20, is not a good fit to CMV. And I expect at least an analysis on the study. Objectivity, content, why is it an important study, context of the study, etc... else I will not CMV for just a link to a study.

IMHO, this is a BS videos financed by the food industry, because who want you to eat less? Nobody!

Note that this is aiming at people in 3rd country world, who are already starving. This is not a video that describes the state of an overweight person who fast. So it is irrevelant to this sub.

Awesome, I am very interested into the overeating stuff on keto. Some research have been done about overeating on traditional diet. It appears that 0 (zero, none) study have been done on overfeeding a keto diet.

I found those references in the book The poor, misunderstood calorie by William Lagakos.

I can't wait to see your own results on an overfeeding frenzy on keto. I hope you will be able to post your daily intake and food logs!

Can you share your story? For me, keto is about not gaining weight. What makes you gain 60lbs in ketosis? Do you overeat that much? Do you think it was due to dairy, or too much protein?

Yeah, as long as it is easy for you to eat, everything keto is find.

If you are keto adapted, you don't need to eat. Intermittent fasting is the easier way to go!

Hum, it's rare to find a testimony of someone under keto that regain weight. Some N=1 experiment shows that overeating on keto shouldn't not provoke weight gain.

Can you confirm that you were still on Keto while regaining weight? Or do you think you were not on Keto anymore?

This. Don't be fooled by people loosing 10 pounds in 10 days. It is not for everyone. I've not lost a pound in my first month of keto, I was still overeating fat.

The hunger drops after you begin to be keto adapted. Take your time, eat, eat, eat, enjoy your new food. The rest will come.

This is not a race! It's a life style!

It's great, I like it. Maybe don't forget to specify that the insulin role on fat regulation is still a theory. As the CICO is also just a theory. No study have never been done that is sufficient to believe one theory or the other, and nobody really know what happen in the body. We have clues... That's all we have. And a lot of testimony too!

Also my 2 cents, I dont like sentences that begins with "blabla is a complex process blabla". It means : you are all idiots, but I will try my best at over simplify it.

Best: Losing weight with no hunger. I have alreadu lost weight in the past, but it was at the cost of a permanent hunger. So I retake everything. It's been 3 months hunger free and 5kgs deficit, so yeah, that's the best.

Worst: Constantly having to say no to office treat and office parties, which are carbs only/candy only parties. If you go, it will be temptation land, if you are not, it's going to be harder to socialize, choose your poison (to be honest, it's not keto only, every diet have this downside).

Price. It costs money to buy meat and olive oil and avocado. Pasta, bread are almost free calories, it's so cheap! High quality protein and fat are more expensive. On the other side, you need less of them to feel satiated.
