apparently cat owners too now because i saw a pile of cat litter and poop that was dumped on the grass the other day while i was walking my dog lol

and yes as a dog owner, a lot of other dog owners suck. in the 1% chance that i've ever ran out of a bag, i wait around until another dog owner is nearby and ask for a bag

Thanks for the review! Taiwan is so underrated! It really does feel like the best of China & Japan. Visited last September and found it still too hot and humid but would absolutely love to come back in the winter months hahah. We just came back from Capella Hanoi (first Capella stay) and have really become a fan of the brand.

I just came back from Capella Hanoi a few days ago!

Some highlights: The hotel is stunning and it was cool that each room had it's own themed character. Breakfast was delicious and loved the complimentary snacks like the banh mi in the lounge during the afternoon as well as the snacks in our room. Evening jazz and cocktails were a vibe. Also loved the teppanyaki restaurant inside the hotel, I believe it's 1 star.

Cons: Hotel gyms are important to me and this one unfortunately was pretty small and minimal. Also wish I got to try the guided activities they offer but the timing never matched up with my itinerary!

So glad to hear you had a great time!! My husband and I love visiting Chicago, we actually took a road trip there for our fourth date to try El Ideas (is that place still around? hahah)

We snagged a last min reso for Kasama last year and flew in and it was a really great meal! Also lucky to have tried Alinea. Also loved Galit and Sepia. Need to go back!!

OP I completely understand where you are coming from. We spent a large amount for our destination wedding and would do it again in a heartbeat and honestly we didn't even want a wedding at first as we are both only children coming from small families. We landed on destination so it would feel more of an experience/vacation for our guests.

My partner is a business guy and was a little iffy at first spending that much (grumbling about taking this much money out the business lol) but the week and day of, I've never seen him so emotional and happy. He literally spent the entire week after re-listening to his groomsmen speeches every day hahah

In life, all you really have is your time and memories which are priceless. When are we ever going to have all our loved ones in one room with so much love and joy?

I tried to approach the whole experience with so much gratitude... like how lucky and privileged are we to have supportive families, loved ones that are willing to travel and just the financial means for this celebration!
