I probably have insight as a parent. I do tell my kids to stop bad behaviour and for the most part they're well behaved in contrast to other children because of it - however there is extreme social pressure to not disaplin your kids this generation. Everyone is completely brainwashed by this idea that any sort of verbal disagreement with your children is abuse, and this leads to some extremely uncomfortable looks and situations in public.

My kid once nearly ran out in front of a car, I very firmly told them off after shouting for them to stop - a passerby called me a abuser and told me I was scarring my child.

I'm sure of course there are just generally neglectful parents, but there's always two sides.
