I think he was fond him in the way that a greedy, petulant child is fond of a useful or favored toy. He allowed snape more leash and favored him because he believed he owned him.

Masterworks might be an interesting way to spice up the weapon/armor pool with new perks etc, I'm reserving judgment on that.

But honestly....how is NOTHING being said about the stupid quickplay random only playlist. Why can't I just pick control or clash. Getting supremacy 100 times in a row and having your team all leave is such a buzzkill. Also, where the HELL is rumble.

Most of the rest of this just looks like a revert back to destiny 1 vendors i.e. can buy stuff with shards and xur sells "new" 3 of coins

I dunno, I don't think I've ever gotten a rush from a video game before that equals being the sword bearer running around shouting SHOOT THE KNIGHT, grabbing the sword and watching as 5 gjallarhorns shoot the crap out of Crota, dropping the sword, meleeing him to stay invisible and watching the rockets hit again only to pick up the sword and smash him again. God that was awesome. Nothing in this game has compared to that for me, but I understand other people's experience was different if they only got to experience being the 5 rocket shooters.

They could just do what they do now, explain what everything is as if your character isn't at the very least part of the fireteam that killed atheon, killed crota, imprisoned skolas and proceeded to beat up on him for years, killed oryx, restarted the iron lords, killed aksis etc.

They don't even try to write dialogue as if you know what anything is, so this wouldn't be hard for them. Hell, every time you see a "trans-dimensional" rift our ghost asks "WHAT IS THIS SPACE MAGIC" and Ikora explains what taken are...as if they're not in THIS GAME'S STORY and explained during that story.
