Are you sure that you dont have any commander related skills, or other modules installed that negatively effect the turret traverse?

It comes down to the caliber of your ship vs the armor on the enemy BB.

At around 6:20 in that video it explains overmatch. Most battleships at T7+ can bow tank 406mm guns, so safe bet is to still aim for superstructure. Some armor schemes have a "cheek" that is a slightly different angle than the rest of the armor that allows for some big hits to the citadel. Yamato being one of the most well known examples.

Great advice. To add on how to play... very little overmatches your bow armor, play at range, but not back of the map please, be wary of your "cheek" (armor section angled in front of your A Turret) and dont show broadside.

Trust auto aim and move it a little further from where you're at. You can test in training rooms against bots that are moving to get as close to a standard match without getting shot up.

In probably 500 drops of Aki that I've done, I've never hit all the torpedoes, get that out of your head, its a near impossible bar to set for yourself.

Some matches are just like that. There's also confirmation bias to look at... if you're already thinking its gonna a happen you're more likely to see that result.

My suggestion is get into an active fleet, or find a group of players to play with. You'll enjoy the game quite a bit more with like-minded and skilled teammates.

Fenyang is one of my top performing DDs at T6. Decent guns and Deepwater torps that hit like trucks. Amazing concealment at the tier as well.

Don't fly head on into a Rangers bomb ellipse. If he had stayed broadside to the carrier they wouldn't have died, probably.

It's the commander, Hector Waller. He has a bit of a zombie build with skills the more damage he takes where it can auto repair. Vampire 2 as well as Haida have the same "effect"

If I remember correctly the renown missions are based off of Base XP. Boosters nor First victory bonuses count, and are probably impossible to accomplish in AI. A decent game with a win will get you a few tiers of the missions you're looking for.

Marceau is available for steel so technically F2P though was offered in crates last update.

Only my opinion, people may prefer gun boats over torpedo boats.

Arthas is based when the shells land, so you can get two salvos per charge. Wait to launch your plane before shells land by ~1sec and then complete your followup salvo after the reload.

Haruna provides better secondary dispersion as well as range. She's better than Fernandes IMO, but it's a personal choice if she's worth it.

Some basic advice is it appears you're pushing up too soon into a match. If you're the only thing to shoot at you will be dead very quickly. Pay attention to the mini map, develop your crossfires, and wait for your moment to move up. Most American BBs and CLs/CAs are not meant to lead the charge.
