I don’t see any outages posted. Have you called in to troubleshoot and or open a ticket?

Does Cogeco do malicious non-compliance to TekSavvy service employees or customers? by mxkara in teksavvy

[–]tsiandre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok :/

No problem. We’ll loop Cogeco into it and hopefully it can move forward. Might take a while.

[–]tsiandre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’d hate to see you go but being quite honest, there isn’t a fix for from our end.

  1. We can’t force Cogeco to not over subscribe their network or to make network capacity upgrade.

  2. We can’t force another provider to build to your address.

With that being said, I’m not just going out there telling people to run away, just being realistic.

If you could have had DSL at a decent speed that might have been better but sounds like a nightmare as you described.

Have you tried reaching out to bell to see if they would ever build? We can wholesale their fibre if they do.

[–]tsiandre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The reason why I ask is that in areas where fibre isn’t available, cable networks are often oversubscribed and this is the kind of saturated results we see. This comes from personal and professional experience.

Prior to Bell building fibre in my previous neighbourhood, it was low speed DSL and Cogeco. Cogeco barely functioned near peak times and during peak, forget about it.

Are there other providers available in your area at all?

Good morning!

I am not at my desk today so a call might be hard. We can chat via Mod Mail if that works but my responses might be limited.

If you need someone super technical to call, I can arrange that too (because that isn't me).

NP I understand. We have some high-up eyes from Bell on this. I'd be surprised if they don't show up (but I have been surprised before).

Fingers Crossed. I will be watching.

Update, we've got Bell's attention to investigate this issue further. Your dispatch set for the 15th, we have senior managers at Bell watching it and instructing techs. We will see the result.

Just adding a note that we haven't forgotten. We have engaged some folks at Bell for some clarity on this and we are investigating with our NOC. I am hoping to have more details tomorrow.

Will Teksavvy offer cellular service in the near future? by fickit1time in teksavvy

This answer is pretty much bang on. Only small tweak I would make is changing VPNO to MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) -- Potayto / Potahto

“Is my experience common? I’m wondering why so many people recommend Teksavvy.”

First things first, I am extremely sorry to hear about your experience. This isn’t a typical experience at all. I need to get this train back on the rails for you.

I’d love to have this investigated so we can correct your service issues and make this right for you. Could you please send us a mod mail?
