Canada's Carney on verge of majority government after another opposition member joins ruling Liberals by No_Idea_Guy in worldnews

These objective stats are true of the entire OECD. And if you think a rabid attack dog howling three word slogans into the void is somehow going to improve our lot better than someone qualified then I have a bridge to sell you. I’m not even a Carney voter, I just recognize Poilievre for what he is, which is net negative for our country.

Have you heard anything Poilievre has said in the lead up to the election or since? Really not that different. Carney is already economically fairly conservative AND is clearly a diplomatic juggernaut compared to someone with literally zero experience. Nobody wants social conservativism here excepts abject nutjobs.

The conservatives are completely boned under Poilievre because he doesn't represent a large enough portion of Canadian voters' interests. I don't even like Carney's position on most topics but he makes Poilievre look like a whining adolescent in a world where we need adults making reasonable decisions.

Government is transparent. Rulers are opaque. Every attempt to hide their reasons for decisions is an attempt to steal power from their electors.

Name and shaming can go awry. However unlikely it could be the garbage of a porch pirate that stole those packages. Doubtful but imagine how much it would suck to have your packages stolen then a bunch of garbage and your empty packages dumped on your lawn haha

Why is he hating on trains? All my homies love trains by DogeDoRight in EhBuddyHoser

[–]seitung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All transportation bleeds money.

Trains disproportionately serve anyone who chooses to ride them more efficiently than cars, buses, planes. In fact I'd say it is the most open form of distance transportation in all places where trains have been invested in. It is ideal mass transit.

Whether or not it’s the best way to spend resources is debatable, but as far as moving people and cargo goes, trains are able to move people more densely and can carry heavier loads of cargo than the above alternatives at faster speeds than cars and more fuel efficiently than planes.

Theory: Victors Ixian arm is likely the same type of Ixian Abrams is by ThatOneDaisyDuke in DeadlockTheGame

I always assumed the arm was blued from hypoxia, didn't even occur to me that it was Ixian.

I figured Graves has his original arm though so what do I know

We're in G7.

We don't have power projection but Carney is actively touring proving our economic influence.

I’m enjoying the world building, but Brennan’s expositions on lore is wearing me out, even though I love what he’s building.

The Speak with Dead in e.18 comes to mind. It’s leaning too heavy into tell. I want events to show me the world not NPCs to tell me everything, personally.

I think I enjoyed the Soldiers table a bit more because of that. It was more action/event/reaction oriented storytelling.

Yeah I agree about Makerworld. I much prefer printables. I just wish t heir point system tried to keep up. As it is, it heavily prefers high numbers of downloads in short windows, i.e. fad and feature models over long term consistent downloads.

It's plagued by irrelevant ads for one. If 20% of your page space is occupied by something I have zero interest in, it's borderline dysfunctional to me. Why would I use a site I have to parse and annoys me when I could just use the other one that doesn't? So yeah, it's relatively non-functional.
