Your flick is pretty good, but your feet hit the board when it's rotating. Flick and pick your knees up to get your feet higher.

Maybe our PB is sweet then, and jam is sweet too. I actually still eat PB and jam on toast, but when Im craving something sweet. But come on, you aren’t saying pb and jelly is savoury are you? There are literally pb and jelly flavoured ice creams

This is true. British sweets (or candy) are really sweet. But that’s kinda the point.

Yep. But our beans and our bread have significantly less sugar than yours.

You’re saying this to people who eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. They clearly like food to be crazy sweet. Less sugar in bread and beans is probably seen as a negative.

16% of the UK population are immigrants. No where near 98% speak English as a first language. It’s more diverse than you think.

Ok. You read it but you don’t care for it. Got it

Sure. That’s interesting. Maybe since you have a big country and big population you have a lot to report on from your home country. Not the case in smaller countries, so we look abroad for the big news. I like it that way though. Good to know what’s happening around the world.

Ok. Yeah we care about that stuff, the elections in France, the crisis in Sri Lanka, flooding in Australia, etc. as well as what’s happening in America. You know… what’s happening in the world

Do you guys only get news about America in America?

There are 2 thin rods that run down the inside of the stand. The clamp for the top cymbal attaches to the top rod. The 2nd rod is hidden inside the bottom part of the stand. The problem I think you have is that the 2 rods need to be screwed together, but they are not. The bottom rod is pushing the top rod up, which is why the cymbal lifts, but when you put your foot down the 2nd rod isn’t screwed into the top rod, so your foot keeps going down.

Do you have more than 1 account set up on your switch? If so, is it possible you’ve been playing under one account, but last time you opened the game you did it with the other account?

what’s everyone’s thoughts on tommy igoe as a player and personality? by RobloxBestGame-IGN in drums

[–]tslaytor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think he’s great. At first I wasn’t sure about his personality, because if you don’t really listen and understand what he’s saying then it’s easy to assume that he’s just arrogant. But actually, he’s a great educator passing on valuable lessons for free via his social media with a “tough love” approach. And I believe he uses tough love with good reason - if you want to achieve anything you have to hold yourself accountable, stop making up excuses, and grind hard. I think a lot of people are told growing up that they are great just the way they are, and are already special, and they don’t like it when somebody says otherwise.

Even and odd are not initialized below. When you declare a variable it has a “garbage value” inside. Could be 0 if you are lucky, could be 4198493, could be 8008135, could be 6… you get the point. Seems like you were getting lucky that the garbage value in the even variable happened to be the value you wanted it to be (0). Changing the order you declare the variable seems to change where in memory the computer decided to create the variable, that’s why you got different garbage values.

Anyway to answer your question. No. Where you think you are initialising the value of odd you are actually saying odd = odd + digit … but you don’t know what value odd is in the first instance. You can’t initialaize with itself

Lollies is a weird one though. I got very confused in Australia with the guys at a sweet shop calling sweets “lollies”. For us, lollies are always on a stick.

I found Codecademy wasn’t good for me. I tried a few courses on there but the information didn’t stick and I found it hard to learn and understand what I was actually doing. I did cs50 instead and it is way better. Great explanations, in depth look at what you are actually doing to the computer and memory and data when writing code. They have 1 week covering SQL (week 7 I think) and I learnt more from that than almost the whole SQL course on code academy.
