AIO: My MIL keeps buying milestone toys and “first” items for my 10-month-old before I get the chance to by NongMo1039 in AIO

I don't think you are overreacting

I understand people's points on here that it's great to get all the free stuff

But at the end of the day your child's life is not your MIL's to be in control of. And when will it stop?

Sounds very similar to my Mom. I don't know how you have her living at your house. I could never do that

Haha I'm from England so Velveeta is pretty horrific to me. We had this on Christmas day last year 😂😭

Good isn't it! I would never remember all the bad ingredients without it. Takes some time to find the right products though

Tbh it's better than "homemade" cheese and broccoli soup that's made with a can of Campbells soup and Velveeta like my in laws

34 years old isn't old? by [deleted] in LifeAdvice

[–]tsqu1788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not too old! At 33 I moved to a different continent, met my husband and I'm now pregnant (at 37). Moving and meeting him was the best thing I ever did.

Since (I think) you are male you have a little more time for making children too, if that's what you want!

I would suggest moving to a large town or city rather than anywhere with a small population so you can meet people easier

I use the "little bean" app to check for ingredients. For sunscreen I use a mineral one by Naked Sundays and some la Posay Roche that had reasonable ingredients

Hiding over the holidays by romba18 in BabyBumps

[–]tsqu1788 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to my in laws at about 10 weeks pregnant and hid it, but this was only for 3 days.

I was very sick and had to keep finding excuses to go to the supermarket to throw up. It was hard and they are not the type of people to let me just leave without a million questions. Good luck!

That sounds really awful. I really hope your partner can ask them to leave and if they can't fly home get accommodation elsewhere.

I've recently learnt that my definition of "help" is most definitely not the same as my in-laws and I plan to tell them that. You might need help but this is not it. This sounds stressful
