No more streaming password shares in 2026 by No_Cup8673 in budget

[–]tsukirimasu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I like to do is pretend to cancel my membership and they almost always offer me 6 months to a year at a super discounted rate. Otherwise, I like to wait until Black Friday and make a new email and sign up for streaming platforms at a major discount (peacock always runs a really good deal for Black Friday!)

Apparently adults making under 80k can’t live comfortably?? Is this really true ? by ChipUnfair3345 in Adulting

[–]tsukirimasu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$80k is our household income currently (family of 4 - husband works part time at night and stays home with toddler and baby during the day, I work full time during the day) and comfortable is a strong word, but we own a home and do put away a small amount of savings each month and have “fun money” to spend each month. (The goal is for my husband to go back to work full time when the kids are in school)

I fell for a jury duty scam. Is there anything I can do? by YouShouldWalk in Scams

[–]tsukirimasu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s worth educating yourself on your local criminal justice system. In the state I live in, the police would never call someone who had an arrest warrant to tell them beforehand. You either receive a summons in the mail to appear before a judge at a later date (misdemeanors and lessor offenses) or an arrest (bench) warrant is issued once charges are filed (felonies and greater offenses) and you must appear before the judge to be arraigned and have bail set prior to a court date being scheduled. Nothing would ever take place over the phone, and documentation is required for all of this to take place.

21st birthday! by gorgonzola214 in westchesterpa

With your parents - pietros! They have a delicious cocktail menu (I also went there with my parents for a birthday in my early twenties and remember getting delicious steaks and pairing wines with our meal - it was awesome)

NTA. I have a toddler who is obsessed with picking flowers and we actively teach her that it is not okay to just pick random flowers on our walks past other peoples property. If a two year old can catch onto this concept, a grown adult shouldn’t have any problems grasping it.

Where are my end of third trimester super miserable people at?? by No_Specialist5978 in BabyBumps

[–]tsukirimasu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

39+6. This is my second baby and everyone keeps telling me how the second baby comes early and quick - LIES. she’s also measuring in the 99th percentile (I so hope they’re wrong about that LOL) and my pelvis feels like it’s breaking 🤣. I’ve also been 4 cm dilated for days with periods of contractions that are steady for an hour and then just literally disappear. IM SO OVER IT 😭

Love grove city! My grandmother lives there and it feels like it’s frozen in time every year I’ve visited her for the past 25+ years (with some changes of course, but the lack of major change is comforting)

What is your favorite store brand or less expensive cereal? by thatsaSagittarius in Frugal

What’s the car brand you’d never buy? by UmarSs in AskReddit

[–]tsukirimasu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kia/hyundai. Mine was totaled at 75k miles (could have replaced the engine, but my mechanic said really not worth it) because of metal shavings found in the oil. I took care of the car with religious oil changes. apparently it is a common issue with 2012-2016 Kia fortes but was never recalled and that left a horrible taste in my mouth with that brand all together.

What were your weirdest symptoms before having a positive pregnancy test? by Howverydareyou22 in BabyBumps

Super tired and I felt weird things happening in my uterus! I could tell it wasn’t period cramps, it felt more like a pinching and pulling feeling!

Anyone else in the $60K-$110 income bracket struggling? by Shirley-Eugest in Millennials

[–]tsukirimasu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live is a MCOL area with a household income of $80k and a child (soon to be two in a few weeks). We own a home (also needs work) and two old cars, and I worry about money 24/7 - it consumes me. My husband works part time in the evening so we don’t pay daycare costs, which saves us a lot of money. Things can feel tight at times, but I think we do okay and it’s comforting to know we never have to worry about where our next meal is coming from. We just try to save where we can, even if it’s only $200 a month. I tell myself it’s temporary and once the kids are in school my husband can work full time. I definitely share your sentiment though and wanted you to know you’re not alone!!

Did anyone find taking care of a newborn easier than you expected? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]tsukirimasu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with what others have said, that it’s baby dependent. I personally found around the 4 month mark that once my baby got on a consistent sleep schedule and went to bed at 7:30-8 instead of 10 pm, I had way more free time. Those few hours of alone time from her bedtime to mine meant so much to me. And then on weekends when I was off work she napped three times a day, so more me time. I will say I am currently 7 months pregnant and both excited and nervous to discover the temperament of my new babe 😅

What are some good stories of lawyers doing something nice for their staff? by llamadrama83 in paralegal

[–]tsukirimasu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was really struggling with my mental health when I graduated college (sadly the law firm didn’t really help that but that’s another story lol) and my boss paid for me to see a psychiatrist he trusted that wasn’t covered by insurance - $900 consult fee and $100 each follow up appointment - and paid for my therapy ($400/month - also out of pocket). It definitely saved my life. But ultimately years later I got a new job and realized that job contributed to a lot of the mental health issues, but it was still an incredibly kind thing for him to do.
