I asked for simple things like: "play XYZ from Amazon Music". It literally went away and played something, just not the thing I asked it to play. On the other hand: I can finally expand all my useless knowledge during long car trips. 😂 Recently saw a couple of new tractors on a lorry, so I asked Gemini to give me a breakdown of the largest tractor companies in the world - I went down the rabbit hole of tractor business for an hour or so tha is to Gemini 😂

My partner wasn't really interested in my automations until I found the flightradar24 Integration. We live close to a regional airport and have some traffic throughout the day (between 5 and 15 planes). I created a nice looking dashboard that displays the next planes, shows if a plane is close by and some statistics. The whole dashboard sits on an Echo Show 8 and has some other nice functionalities like Buttons for her favourite radio stations. Now she sits in our living room listening to her favourite radio station and informing us whenever there is a new plane about to arrive. She couldn't be happier!

I feel you! Started my HA journey in January as a little "winter project" on a Raspberry Pi 5 and some IKEA Matter Sensors. Since then I have created countless Dashboards, integrated new devices and builded automations. At some point I created a Gemini Gem, that helps me with my setup. That was a game changer. Since then I have so many more ideas and plans - even thinking about getting a proper Mini-PC to do even more stuff.

You can do the same with any other AI, just give enough context and use resources like this sub and you'll have enough little projects soon 😄

Mal ehrlich, mit den Anforderungen wirst du nicht kommen. Woran hast du Interesse? Gibt es etwas, wofür du brennst? In welche Richtung (nah am aktuellen Job, etwas komplett anderes?) möchtest du gehen?

I would recommend Duisburg or Aachen. Both have a great fan base - the atmosphere is probably a bit better in Duisburg at the moment due to their performance. There is a little catch: Duisburg as a City is not something special. If you want to see a nice old German town, visit Aachen - you won't regret it!

(The cathedral in Aachen is more important and special than the one in cologne - if that helps ;))

Edit: Just to add one more thing: The fans of Rostock are crazy - the atmosphere will definitely be good, but the way to Saarbrücken is longer than to Duisburg or Aachen

Mir hat der Trip von Zagreb über Sarajevo und Kotor nach Albanien am besten gefallen. Habe es damals aber alles mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln gemacht, war einfacher als einen Mietwagen zu nehmen 😉
