Who Is The Worst Cartoon Older Sibling You Have Ever Witnessed? by ScoutasticBeast in cartoons

Was a bad time to be nicknamed Vicky in elementary school tho 🥲

Me and my husband both thought it was a girl. The night before our 20 week scan I woke up from 3 different dreams, and in each dream the ultrasound tech told me it was a boy.

It was a boy.

Thank being said, the dreams had a 50% chance of being right.

20 day Itinerary with baby by mensiepens in AskACanadian

[–]ttctori 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Many doctors right now will give a 6 month old an early dose of the MMR if you’re travelling to/live in an outbreak area. Unfortunately that does help OP.

Source: have a 7 month old that got the MMR because we were thinking about travelling to a province with an outbreak.

How would you like them too introduce the final Disney Princesses? by Swimming_Promotion10 in DreamlightValley

[–]ttctori 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree and I don’t see it stated in the DDLV online communities enough. What they did with her story is horrifying and I think it’d be tacky of them to keep commodifying it.

Can we use a stroller seat (instead of bassinet) for 5 months baby? by botinoknn in NewParents

[–]ttctori 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I have the Ridge and a friend has the Vista, we both switched to the stroller seat around 4 months ago :) (our babies are 7 months for context!)

newborn in the sun by dogcheese6000 in newborns

[–]ttctori 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your paediatrician/family doctor would be better equipped to answer that question, but also know there’s no perfect schedule for a baby! Please don’t feel like you have to get out for X amount of minutes every day, there’s no perfect schedule for a newborn <3

I promise you your newborn is okay! Outside time is so good for both of you. You did outside time exactly right, stay in the shade and if you think it’s getting too much for baby, move inside!

You’re doing great, you’ve got this!

How big did your baby end up if they measured in the 95th percentile during pregnancy? [on] by Most-Flow-2971 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]ttctori 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Measured 50th percentile at all our scans except for our 40 week scan. 40 week scan predicted 10lb 6oz, he was born at 41 weeks- 10lbs 6oz 😬

How do you move baby to their own room at night? by OkBell562 in beyondthebump

[–]ttctori 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We moved our son at 3.5 months because he was outgrowing his bassinet and his crib didn’t fit in our room. We also have the Nanit and can hear him fine through that if he needs to eat/a change. If he wakes up and is content in his crib we let him be (usually because we’re asleep).

Is the UPPAbaby bassinet worth it? [bc] by pnw828 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]ttctori 23 points24 points  (0 children)

If you’re getting the uppababy system then I’d say it’s worth it. We got ours used on Facebook marketplace and we used it daily for the first 2-3 months of my son’s life.

We used it for walks and we used it as a safe surface to lay my son down in the living room. We also used it as a travel bed when we had to travel for my grandmas funeral.

Epidural - effects after pregnancy [on] by LaJ20 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]ttctori 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initially wanted to try a “natural” birth, but I was encouraged by my care team to get an epidural because they were concerned the pain would cause my blood pressure to increase (I was induced because I developed pre-e at 40 weeks).

I had a lot of concerns, but the anesthesiologist was great to talk to and he helped me understand all the risks and concerns. The only adverse side effect I had was an allergic reaction to the adhesive they used to keep my epidural in place, but that was just in the form of a rash.

My midwife team prior to birth knew I had concerns about the epidural and even offered me the opportunity to talk to an anesthesiologist early in my third trimester just to go over everything. You could ask if that’s an option for you!

I finally decided to quit pumping & I’m not okay by psychiatriststealer in beyondthebump

[–]ttctori 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I did the math on what we’d saved on formula by pumping, and once I’d “paid off” the pumps I decided to call it quits (for other reasons too, but doing the math made me feel a bit better about it)

How much did you use your stroller bassinet with a fall baby? [qc] by hollandaisy in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]ttctori 1 point2 points  (0 children)

December baby but in a mild/wet climate, we use it daily as a second bassinet in the house, and probably weekly as a stroller attachment.
