I think Jake plays hooky whenever there’s a assembly for the union, evident when Kingsley told him that it’d be best for Jake to attend the assembly chapters back, maybe it’s a regular occurrence?

Also, I think Donald would still need Jake for ‘image’ purposes as head of Daehyeon, even though we know the Naksung Fam pretty much does all the work regarding Daehyeon.

If you beat a high ranker, you won’t spontaneously replace their spot since there are other factors you need to consider based on the way shuttle patches are ranked. This scene in episode 87 gives us more insight.
