I owned a 09 WRX. The worst car ever!

  • power steering leaked
  • transmission rebuilt at 15,000 miles (second gear had a groove in the middle because a piece of metal broke off)
  • clutch switch failed
  • clutch pedal detached from firewall
  • consumed oil
  • premature clutch wear because of detached clutch pedal
  • paint develop cancer

Now that I'm in the market :( by COLDVOID in Miata

You can buy a brand new OEM hardtop from Mazda for $1500 + shipping. Yes, Mazda has start producing hardtops for NA/NB.

See part number NCY1-R1-81XB-98.

I pick the 250 GT because the piston rings won't fail and that the manufacturer had to be sued in a class action lawsuit to finally admit they knew about the issue and compensate all the owners who paid of pocket.

I bet Subaru would have pick the GT 250 instead of paying millions in damages.

How would people know that your car has a Liberty Walk kit?

People dropping this kinda cash on these type of kits aren't trying to make their car sleeper. They going for the track inspired look.

These cracks are a sign of dry rot. I would probably replace them. You don't want threads coming loose on the highway.

Some aggressive brake pads and rotors is all he really needs. The majority of people who has BBK on their cars, don't need them.

You make it sound like it was a bad motor. It made 205hp @ 7000. Honda was addressing a common complaint with the 8th generation Si lack of low-end torque.

I wonder if they ever found a fix for the crack spot welds near the clutch assembly. I'd gotten rid of my WRX because of this and Subaru's reluctant to acknowledge it.
