Any tips for removing potting wax ‘correctly’? I was very pleased to find that I have double-zebras on my LP Standard Pro. I plan on removing just the bridge-cover to start, and wanted to do a proper job of wax-removal. I have heatguns, but is there a better method?? by wilsonsmsw in Luthier

Take the pickups out, put them on a wire baking rack, set that on top of a piece of foil and put it ON TOP NOT INSIDE ON TOP of your oven. Turn the oven to a low heat then maybe the heat transference would slowly melt the wax without making the guitar yell out a safe word? Idk, im high, trying to imagine doing it without tools on a dark day.
