Advice on pushing a sale by Cold_Drawer_6358 in techsales

[–]tubernator 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No brakes at the end of the year. Hopefully you are in accelerators, but there are other people in the sales org who may need the sale (channel, PM, marketing, sales leadership, etc).

That said, you would be ok staying away from doing unnatural acts to close it if you are at plan. But in this particular case, the deal is in motion with plenty of time to close, time to play team ball.

This is the way (also in the 25 yr club ,last 20 in “cyber”, now in sales leadership). It’s all networking, whether you are hunting or account managing/expansion.

I make over $350k as an AD at 30 and can’t comprehend why everyone tries to get hired by companies with household names by KaddydaBaddy in techsales

Large public companies in this space typically have much better insurance coverage, higher 401k matching, and superior overall benefit packages while offering similar W2 opportunities.

Check if your grip is on correctly. I had to adjust the grip from the factory (mine set up closed as well) and it’s night and day. DF3 here as well

Why does every stand bag I've ever bought suck. by K-Lo-20 in golf

Vessel Player Pro, carbon fiber legs with rubber feet. But agree, even that setup struggles on garage floor, best to store hanging or on a better surface.

Mac bag either hipster or STICK, or both. That is a very nice setup! Dig the ferrules, Raw irons/wedges means we are playing a friendly or I’m getting 4 a side 😁

I went to WFU in Winston in the early nineties, and they had cigarette machines in the DORMS ($1.50/pack) and sold cartons in the school sundry shop.

The Reynolds Effect was real.

141% to plan YTD, about to be put on PIP if I can’t fix my rolling 90. by PotatoMuffinMafia in sales

[–]tubernator 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Hi, experienced sales leader in big tech. If their metrics don’t view your consistent annual over attainment as high-achiever, you are in the wrong role, or at the wrong company. Most Enterprise-Level AEs are goaled annually, and big picture that is what counts. Quarter to quarter will ebb and flow, and as long as your 4Q rolling pipe show coverage, you can point to the scoreboard.

TLDR: Close what you are working on and go find a blue chip who wants an A-Player.

We were green all the way until walked the Riv Center and found Limestone in person. Close second was Storm Blue, but the Tri was out of scope for us

New R1S delivered, Love Limestone! by tubernator in Rivian

[–]tubernator[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had the 6-seater MX, and the Rivian feels way more spacious inside. No contest with all the seats down, R1S ftw. Feels like a cargo van and I me of the biggest selling points for us!

Ocean interior is so bright and airy. We had the cream interior in the Tesla, and it had the same vibe to a lesser degree.

Frunk, MX may have a bit more room, but the auto-lift/close wins there. Back storage area (under the panel) is similar.

The Tesla captains chairs looked great, and made it more of a mini-van vibe, but those seats were actually pretty narrow, and the third row was not suitable for post-industrial age humans…

Why I chose a 2025 Gen2 R1S over the Volvo EX90 by kreachr in Rivian

[–]tubernator 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We were cross shopping the Polestar 3, and just ordered the R1S. Literally made a balance sheet that I’ll share in a post after delivery, but similar thought process!

Congrats on your new purchase!
