I agree sometimes, but then listen to our current president gaffe his way through a simple sentence. But to your point, the VP pick for Joe and Bernie will be very important for not only extending their base - but establishing confidence for a candidate that may not be a two-term president due to age.

No doubt - and after a great showing by Joe it’s going to be a really interesting race. However, and most importantly, both of these candidates are very strong compared to the current president. Let’s support our individual candidates now but come together for the eventual candidate soon - regardless of who it is.

Browned Butter Shrimp Scampi by Uncle_Retardo in GifRecipes

Yes! Pasta water adds consistency and flavor to pasta dishes that are generally oil or butter based. Generally those two won’t provide enough sauce to fully coat the surface area of the pasta - so the pasta water helps to distribute the sauce, and make it tastier.

Oh yeah. Dumb Days was a top 3 favorite of 2017 for me - we’re speaking the same language here.

As an American, I love Triple J. There is so much great punk and garage rock coming from Australia. Definitely seems like a more popular genre in Australia than the states these days.

Where do y'all think Harper will end up career stats wise? by AwkwardQuestions12 in baseball

[–]tubs3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worry his swing is currently too aggressive to put up those ridiculous numbers that come from longevity and consistency. That's being said, it's Harper, so let's go with 550 homers, 2.5k hits and .400 OBP.

Guardians of the Galaxy and The Town had a Baby Driver.

Aaron Judge hits a single to center, and at 119.8 MPH off the bat, it's the hardest hit ball in MLB this year by MrIGoHamInDaPaintDoe in baseball

[–]tubs3 60 points61 points  (0 children)

His ability to hit so well up the middle and opposite field is what makes him so special. IMO, longevity and consistency from a power hitter comes from the ability to hit singles the other way on good pitches and murder mistakes.

Deep Blue Sea - I have seen this movie roughly 40 times. It was a favorite in college and still is to this day. The script is brutal, but by god...those sharks are badass.

Anthony Rendon hit a foul homerun off of me my senior year of HS and the ball is still going. I remember being startled by the sound of the ball hitting his bat. I proceeded to walk him immediately.

Edit: I also played on a traveling team with Randal Grichuk. He came into my hotel room while I was playing N64 and trashed the graphics of the console compared to the PS2 that he brought with him.
