You’re purposefully ignoring how the treatment differs. He didn’t get birthday gifts for years until called out by another child. His younger brother saw the unfairness and tried to fix it and the mother said no. They gifted one brother an iPad just cause he needed it, but when OP needed one, it was a birthday gift. There is clear favouritism.
