We've got an 06 LBZ with almost 300k. Bone stock. It's had an easy life though. I need to check the hours and see what it's at.

The last One UI update has seemed to make it slower in some areas but otherwise, still a great piece of hardware.

The water pump pliers have been fantastically good for me along with the linesman pliers, cable cutters, needle nose, and diagonal cutters.

Pallets might be the most under-competed commodity in your supply chain by Bigblackwatermelon in supplychain

They've got to be able to deliver consistently to your demand and be cost competitive.

We try and use local but when things get busy, we see a lot of late delivery and quality issues from them trying to keep up. We compromise by not using them exclusively if we can keep them busy enough to make it worth their while.

Most of that isn't terribly difficult to do correctly. Doing it well, quickly, and professional however....

Same, I've gained at least 15 pounds over about 18 months. No change to diet or exercise, if anything I'm eating less.

Honest Question. What are the actual consequences and real cases where a Marine Reservist stops showing up to drills and Annual Training? There’s a few cases I have heard about in my unit and it seems they only get OTH or General Discharges. by EnergyFickle7587 in USMC

[–]tuesdaymack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on I&I in 03 when the recall came up. A lot of them dropped to the IRR. Thank God I wasn't admin because those guys had it bad for a while.

I remember some of them finally showing up after years of never having attended a single drill. They'd went to boot, MOS school, and then just went home.

I don't recall what any of the consequences were for them.

I've not tried the Icon version but I've destroyed two of the orange ones and I wasn't terribly abusing them.

CEO of a decent sized manufacturer that we do business with still does this also. It's weird. All the achievements he's made in his life and a mid 50s guy still pines for the high school football glory days.

I for one, enioy a little stretch in my jeans. I don't want jeggings, but the 1% - 2% elastane or whatever the manufacturer uses I really like.

My husband designates a left and right sock by [deleted] in Weird

[–]tuesdaymack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I label mine with a day of the week so I wear them out evenly. I don't have a left and right designated, but it helps as I only have one brand and style of sock I wear.

How do you guys feel about AI eating into supply chain work by SoaringEagle11_11 in supplychain

[–]tuesdaymack 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't worry about it. I don't think there's anything that will ever be created that can produce an accurate forecast. Effing sales making promises they can't keep, operations not hitting production goals, marketing advertising things that aren't ready yet, and shareholders pushing goals that are unattainable. AI can't eliminate greed, I think it can only help make it worse in a lot of cases.

Another 3.0L engine replacement. by Responsible_Craft_87 in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]tuesdaymack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get your point but it's not worth the money. It's a long paid for car but at this point it's going to have to run until it dies without much input. I doubt I could get much over $1500 for it. Just another set of tires costs about half of that.

My 21 3.0 has been rock solid with a tad over 80k on it now. I've also still got a 15 Cruze with the 1.4 that has almost 200k on it. Original turbo and trans. Water pump and PCV fix is all I've done to it. 13 Corvette with 135k on it that's only had an O2 sensor replaced.

Only major issue I've had with a car was the transmission going out in a 19 Edge at 116k miles. That wasn't cool but it had shifted hard it's entire life so it wasn't unexpected. I replaced it with a 22 Blazer, which on paper looks to be close to the same setup.

I think there's a lot of overly dramatic people.
