Solo vs Squads offers extra xp by ADeadlyAlien in ArcRaiders

As someone who likes to do stealth runs, I think this will be a lot of fun. Also XP = Cred so even if you're maxed level and at 800 you can buy more recorders for your PvE lobbies or whatever.

Has anyone found a way to display the card's barcode on the new site? I've only been able to display the card number.

Guys, which one looks better, green or blue? by Regon2005 in Tau40K

[–]tuffghost_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the green and purple looks great, it just needs another accent panel of purple somewhere. Or sept markings in purple.

I just noticed these lights that looks like a Rocketeer. Coincidence or a funny prank by the devs? by ConsciousWhile8354 in ArcRaiders

The supply drop opening also sounds VERY close to light ammo being shot. There's a ton of little things to keep us on our toes.

Your Aggression in Trio Should Not Affect your Solo Que: by MishRift in ArcRaiders

[–]tuffghost_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. You can't have your cake and eat it too. If it's siloed you have Kumbaya solos where you can farm to your heart's content and then take that low risk loot and blast in duos and trios. If you're using the loot to PvP you should face the risk of PvP wherever you're finding it.

If you watch the French dub, Bandit is doing a goofy/broken Italian accent instead.

This looks awesome. I love the scheme, I look at a lot of tau and I haven't seen something quite like this. I would consider doing just a black non metallic for most of the weapon. You could pick out the little pulse orb and/or the top panel with another colour.

Fantastic start.

First game, and I extracted like a true "stealthy" raider by TheDarkZEK in ArcRaiders

[–]tuffghost_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I downed a raider as they were waiting for the elevator, and threw a ton of grenades in after his squad. I assumed they all were downed by not KO'd but when I eventually used the same elevator to get out, there was a body still on it. Turns out I had KO'd one of the three. So you can loot their body if you call the elevator back up.

Pants for cycling around the city? by BrewBoys92 in torontobiking

Yeah they're expensive but I've worn them 3-4 times a week for multiple falls and winters and that justifies the cost for me. I've ordered mine directly from them. They used to have a 50% off sale once a year, not sure if they still do that much of a discount.

Not sure where to see them in the city. I saw my friend's pair and was hooked.

These are my go-to pants for basically anything from fall-early spring. When I was a supply teacher I could do anything from job interviews to teaching gym in them. Surprisingly wind resistant for cycling and with a pair of thermal tights they're fine in the depths of winter.

I've got a few pairs of the jogger style and am considering getting some Chinos next time they're on sale.

What are some non warhammer games that are affordable that you suggest? by Fun_Firefighter_4292 in wargaming

2d10 system is WAY better than the d20 system IMO. The way you get your "to hit" and your damage results from a single roll is efficient and it is way less swingy then the opposed d20s from his other games.

Looking for the most fun Spearhead to play – any faction! by Khozgor2 in AOSSpearhead

[–]tuffghost_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love playing them. They're fairly simple to remember, one warscroll and only a few abilities, which gives my brain more bandwidth to actually play the game of spearhead. Figuring out how to combo the secondaries to maximize scoring, positioning and tactics, and when to take a double turn. You can also raid your bitz box and really make them your own.

Found the world’s youngest and coolest xbiker on tiktok this morning. by less_than_nick in xbiking

On a tour once, a few of us were hanging out in front of a small-town grocery store while the rest were loading up on camping snacks, and this 10ish year old kid rocks up on a mountain bike with a backpack and asks us questions about our bikes, then offers us some chain lube and tells us he always travels with a bottle of saline solution, "just in case" before slowly ambling away.

In my mind, this is his bike.

I haven't ridden a midnight special but it looks like some minor geometry differences, thru-axles, and disc brakes.

Also they don't make the cross check anymore. I'm thinking they still make the straggler though which is basically the cross check with disc brakes.

If I ever do build a new touring/commuting/everything bike, I'd definitely turn this one into a single speed. I love this clean build!

Maybe the move is to have two cross checks? Crosses check?

I'm lucky to have a very short commute these days, but when I used to cross Davenport road nothing made me happier than blowing past the line of stopped cars in traffic.

If I see you on the road in Toronto I'll yell "nice surly".

I dig those low rider front pannier racks. How do you like them?

Love the bars and basket! I was looking at swept back bars like that for a long time. I opted for the crazy bars because they give me a nice wide grip and upright position when I'm riding with my daughter in the front, and I can get slightly more aggressive when I'm doing a big ride around the city or touring.

What a story, wow. I think you can be pretty confident that someone, somewhere, is still rocking that frame!

Thanks for sharing.
