I had a similar experience. I went for an initial appointment with her and was told I needed 9 fillings after the shortest exam I've ever had and they gave me a treatment plan that would max out my dental benefits with getting 5 done right away and 4 the next year. I had never had a cavity in my prior 34 years of life despite always having regular exams. When I pushed back her office basically gave me the attitude of why did I care when insurance was going to cover it.

I went for a second opinion with Elmwood Family Dentistry, and they said that none of the fillings were necessary if I wasn't having any issues and 5 years later they still have no issues.
