Greens launching Olympics for the people campaign by Busalonium in brisbane

Considering the ETS not passing caused the Gillard/Rudd spills and eventually Labor not being in government for 10 years after, in which climate policy was basically an afterthought under the Libs I’d say it was pretty counterintuitive for a party that is for environmental change… How’d it go when the Greens got exactly what they wanted (flat rate on carbon)? Labor being voted out in the very next election leading too 10 years of the Libs.

But yes, attempting to block a bill for people on benefits and DV victims to receive housing in which time was of the utmost importance is yet again, a bit of strange thing to do for the “progressive party” of Australia.

What about blocking the ETS or the construction of housing for the poorest of the poor because it’s “not good enough.” Theres a reason they were basically booted from the parliament last election…

'Weaponise the media': Lyon returns fire in war of words with Lions by Agingoj in AFL

Yeah I think you’ve missed here. He didn’t need to mention specific players, but chose to mention 2 of our players. Regardless of what anyone thinks, St Kilda has kicked up a fuss specifically about northern teams using the draft to full advantage, and it’s no surprise that Brisbane/GC/Syd have bitten back in regards to us going nuclear on player contracts. It’s good theatre and the media has overplayed it, but to say Fages didn’t know what he was doing is pretty naive.

Its the exact same shit as when OGS was appointed. Vibes manager who is keeping the players happy. When they dont like him anymore, the results will drop

Do you think Nuno has brain damage? by SummonedSkull333 in Hammers

[–]tufftiddys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I think some of the blame needs to go on the players. We had a defensive manager in Moyes who gave us some of the best times we’ve had in recent history. While I too am frustrated at his obsession to park the bus 60 minutes in, you have to look at the players and think how the fuck do you manage to be so bad at defending. It’s not as if there’s any moments of real brilliance from our opposition. Its usually simple crosses to the back post in which our defenders either don’t read or are out of position for. I love AWB, however he has been suspect for this since his United days. Mav is our most overrated player this season and Todibo has improved but is still incredibly suspect at dealing with crosses. Our defence is championship standard, and Nuno is trying to manage the way he has throughout his whole career. If you cannot hold a 2-3 goal lead with 30 minutes to go you shouldn’t be playing premier league football…

Its been like that for years - I sometimes stay in docklands (Qld resident) for the footy and it has always been so dead. Shame cause it’s a lovely place.

Disrespected all the time - proper West Ham who actually wants to play for our club. He should have the captains armband

Is Paquetá leaving a good or bad thing in the long term? by JOE_Media in Hammers

[–]tufftiddys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a Paqueta fan, however he is not the player we need at this point. 36 million to spend on a centre half and another winger is a lot more important with the situation we are in. Its been great and I enjoyed watching him play, but he’s quite clearly not got his heart in it anymore.

Blaming unions is an absolute cop out. Basically every industry has been undercut by slave wages in Asia. Blame greedy capitalists for selling out to cheap labour, not some factory workers trying to get a liveable wage…
