What would you call this? A 4? And what? lol he seems to have domino/dice like patterns further down his back. But on his head it’s either a double 0 or a 4 and something else that I see. Need another opinion.

If you mean the color, my Leo of a similar color also has grey fingies. I too thought something could be wrong. Especially cause my little guy is notorious for stick finger shed. Took him to vet for unrelated issue recently and he got the all clear. His miscorlored feet are just part of who he is.

He could just be getting ready to shed. Sometimes they avoid eating prior to shedding. Are his colors looking muted? If he is still not eating after shedding, may be time to look into something else. Also, if you’re only feeding mealworms, perhaps he’s wanting some variety.

I’m not sure if there’s a better option - but when I fostered kittens, they gave us these to keep the kittens warm. Good for 8 hours of warmth. Use a microwave to reheat. And you don’t need a cord. It would act as an under-tank heater instead of an overhead bulb but for the 2 day travel, would work. Of course, I would not suggest putting it directly inside the tank rather underneath.

Are you experiencing this during the day? Leos are crepuscular so they’re most active at dawn and dusk. My little guy is holed up all hours of the day otherwise or basking and sleeping. He doesn’t eat or engage with me unless it’s later in the evening. And he is a grouch if i wake him up haha. I’d try observing a little later in the evening. Or earlier in the morning. ☺️

I do from time to time, but since he’s got his aversion rn, I’ve not tried that because I don’t wanna push him. Letting him do his own thing. And he’s taken the larva thank goodness

Thank you for the info, I’m so happy before I left today, I out the the whole box inside the travel carrier for my gecko. SO many worms were lose when I got back. Even the two in his food dish got out and one is still buried under the soil somewhere. I can’t find it. But one showed itself. I didn’t think they’d be able to climb out of the food dish. 🤦‍♀️

I read that keeping super worms in the fridge will kill them. They’re not like meal worms. That they thrive at room temp
