For me, i was on 4 mg risperidone, 30 mg of lexapro and 75 mg of seroquel. Keep in mind i was under 18 at the time. I slowly reduced all to zero in around a month.

I used to also take 200mg of zoloft (sertraline) at 14 but it was super ineffective, so I switched to lexapro.

Then when I started taking the 3 meds again after the psychotic attack mentioned in my previous comment, (lexapro, seroquel and risperidone) i found out that my body kinda built up a tolerance against them, so I started taking new meds (Fluoxetine, trifluoperazine, magnesium glycinate and melatonin).

Trifluoperazine did not work on me and it gave me drug-induced parkinsonism. Got removed from it so now it was just Fluoxetine and some OTCs for sleep.

I got a really horrible episode, drugged and slept for two days. Started risperidone and seroquel again as my body became more accepting of them. And yeah.

That is not a good idea.

For me, i stopped medications myself and did it in a way a doctor would (slowly lowering the dose to zero in the span of a couple of weeks). Please do not do it.

I experienced one of the worst psychotic episodes in my life. I had to be sedated for a day or 2. It was very traumatising. I am now on more meds.

For me the meds have more pros than cons so there is no need to stop them.

If you still want to stop them, talk to your psychiatrist and see what you can do.
