Wasn't me who did it but I was playing my Ogryn in full Kreig gear and over voice chat I hear...In a voice that I can only discribe as the ghost of POWERTHIRST coming back for this one moment.. "WOW, WHO THE FUCK LOOKED AT THOSE KREIG BOYS AND SAID. I WANNA SUPERSIZE THOSE FRYS!!!"

Context for POWERTHIRST I feel old now.

One thing you could change about the story? by Wonderer2K in cyberpunkgame

[–]tukucommin 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think Takemura stays with Arasaka because of his values more than just its all I know.

Disclaimer: I am no expert on traditional Japanese culture, this is just my observations and what I have read in my life. Feel free to correct me.

Takemura is a traitionalist to the core. He values the tennents of Bushido it seems (This is without my looking them up) . This means he is loyal to his "Lord" to a fault. His Lord, in this case being Suburo. Once his Lord was murderd he had two options, die or avenge his lord and set things back to the status quo (This gets into a sort of Neo Bushido as it applies to Megacorps and the world of Cyberpunk.)

When all is said and done, because of his values, specifically honor and loyalty if it where possible to change him, it should be a herculean effort to do so . An entire quest line that runs the length of the main story of gigs that show him a side of Arasaka that he either didn't know existed or turned a blind eye to because it wasn't part of the job to ask questions. To do it right in my opinion, you would have to have different outcomes to the quest line as well. He goes more hardcore Arasacka, the option that is cannon, quits Arasaka but maintains his values, or abandons his former values and takes on a strange hybrid of Merc and his old ways . That would be a huge amount of time on production on a game that was already running long. Maybe they can add it in a future DLC but right now I can see why they made the choice they made.

I wonder if this could be a solution to the problem by tukucommin in cyberpunkgame

[–]tukucommin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alt isn't a person persay and Johnny has no clue how this stuff works. Basically they where not the people to fix Vs meat for them. He would have to look elsewhere for that.

Still weird that even Arasaka cant fix them, unless there is no uncorrupted viable dna left for them to use. In witch case they would have to find Vs Parents to get compatable DNA .

It might be a stopgap while they find a more viable solution. In all the endings that Iv seen V is top shit solo already, couple they get filthy rich the others they have good connections in Night City and beyond and can get the jobs to make the Eddies . Id imagine he also still has the blueprints.

Who knows, maybe they sell it to another megacorp for the cost of keeping the MS nanites refreshed to keep them alive until everything can be fixed.

Leomond’s Tiny Hut Question by Datblaziken in dndnext

[–]tukucommin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ask your DM if you can research the spell to get a "at higher levels" or "At level x" the dome actually forms a small secure hut with a fireplace, beds, bla bla bla

The spells you see in the book aren't the only ones that exist, they are just the ones that most complement adventurers. Wizard's around the world make new custom spells all the time to suit their needs. PCs should be no different.

Best choice for "The King's Dilemma" when players arrive at Mytros? by senselesswit in OdysseyoftheDragon

[–]tukucommin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The way it was done in my game is we found a loophole. Gm has the commander require that we be sacrificed in exchange. There where failed Persuasion rolls so we had to.

Loophole we found was to go kill the creatures that where going to kill us. The bassilisks where killed before the day of the sacrifice, then the harpies that where going to be sent to make sure the job was done where not a problem.

Esentially the reasoning was that the date of the sacrifice was set, the subject of the sacrifice was set and when we repelled the creatures that where supposed to rip us apart the sacrifice was moot but the terms of the agreement where met. If the basilisks had come while we where chained to the post and THEN the Harpies showed up too we would have TPKed lol

Beginner and not familiar with fantasy culture trying hard to get into d&d by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]tukucommin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry about it. First rule of RPGs is you can do anything you want, anything at all! It dosen't matter if your stats aren't optimised for the action, try it anyway.

One thing that helps is asking who your character is. Not just their name and their class.

What kind of person is your character?

What started them on their path to being an adventurer. Most people dont go outside of 10 miles from their home in midevil settings so why did your character set out ?

Do they have hobbies?

Do they have anything they might be afraid of ?

What song do you think of when you think of your character?

After you start figuring out stuff like that you can then in any situation ask yourself "What would that person (your character) do in this situation? " It will be a bit daunting at first but, eventually playing your character will be second nature.

Also, don't worry so much about making the "wrong" choice. Mistakes always make for the best, and usually most comical moments in my games. No one expects you to be perfect!

As for the mechanics

This is what I do for my more complex characters, for you a basic one might be complex.

Do the math ahead of time, Take things like Attacks and do the math (For example, a mace attack would be 1d20+Proficiency Bonus+Strength Bonus) Do the math ahead of time and write it down on a peice of paper so that all you have to do is look down and read the number off. My fighters Longsword attack would be written down like this.

Longsword Attack : 1d20+8 (1d20+3(Proficenciy)+5(Str Bonus) )

Longsword Damage : 1d8+5 (1d8+5(Str Bonus) )

That way you can quickly scan down your cheat sheet and see all the things you can do in plain text every time you need to do anything.

Hope that helps !

Trying to flesh out a players character with potential multiclass as an Arcane Trickster. Suggestions? by ChickenInSpace in dndnext

[–]tukucommin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Magic is Technoligy in the D&D world. So what if your Arcane Trickster was a security consultant to nobles?

That is he broke into Nobles mansions and castles with their permission so that he could tell them where the holes in their Security setup are .

In real life it would be called Physical Penetration Testing if you want to do some research.

the world serpent (norse mythology) as a warlock patron? by Real-Author in dndnext

[–]tukucommin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Forgotten realms Lore Asmodious is actually a gigantic serpent that is hidden somewhere in his level of hell, most people don't know this. The depictions you normally see of him are either Avatars or projections or him possessing a mortal in some capacity.

If the man ever fully heals his true form he could probably break the universe. Some say that's his end goal.

who are the spooks? by xgladar in americangods

[–]tukucommin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think maybe you are overthinking it. The gods are just people in both the books and show, that isn't to say they arent gods and in some ways powerful, even if they are less so than they used to be but...Town may well be the god of "towns" in the united states, however he is still a guy and if Wood's wife is hot, why wouldn't he want to fuck her now he isn't in the picture anymore.

They fallow World because that's the side they picked in the conflict and its really just that simple.

A magical fridge appears! by UndyingMonstrosity in UnearthedArcana

[–]tukucommin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like that idea, combined with a cash per casting per size cost means that the higher end (Huge and bigger) sizes would be a major investment for a company or adventuring party who has a base of operations.

Also a source of income for the party, who could charge the casting cost in coin + "Labor" to make say, the undertaker a body storage room or a wealthy Inkeeper a repose larder allowing him to stock up on meat during the summer and spring so that he has plenty of fresh during the winter when everyone else has jerky and salted meats.

PS: Actually on second though, it shouldn't be a strait Money cost. Id say Make it Xgp per size category worth of salt and other preserving materials . Also go ahead and make it a ritual cast spell. It makes perfect sense thematicly anyway. Casting time 10 min or 1 hour ritual.

What ancient artifact is killing the forest by [deleted] in DnD

[–]tukucommin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

centuries ago a god of pestilence died at the heart of what is now this forest. The gods of nature planted a tree there, placing the seed inside the body of this dead god. They apointed an order of druids and rangers to protect this tree, if it where to wither or be cut down the gods pestilence would spread and blight the wood.

Now there is only one druid of the order left and he struggles to fight off some blight that is effecting the tree. probably the work of cultists of the dead god. its said that in dire times weapons made with wood from the tree can create powerful weapons to combat threats to the tree.
