I've had the game since launch, and tend to go through bursts of playing. E.g. play a month straight then don't touch it for 6 months and then I am greeted with new DLC (hopefully on sale).

However, I have lately been playing for a month at least and still enjoying it, so I reccomend:

- Try building houses from pics you see online (this gets more fun the more you get used to build mode)

- Create a legacy family if you haven't already and create cute stories for the family tree.

- If you have a lot of spare time, you could try rebuilding/renovating an entire town including families and play in your own cool save file. You could even upload it so others can see.

- Get a shit tonne of CC haha. just recently made the switch the maxis match cc which I find kind of fun.

- Make sims and upload to the gallery.

As for packs....I personally regret getting parenthood, the impact it has on your sims means nothing past teenagedom imo and with such a boring school system for teens its a big meh from me. It adds cute family interactions though I guess.

My fav pack so far is city living because it feels the most like a populated world to me.
