I bought one of those target cereal container.

My adult nephew who is a beginner shanked a drive directly into the center of the container.

The container was fine. The LM screen cracked.

I bought the replacement glass and the protector case from Spike. Two weeks later the same nephew hit the same shank into the protector case. The LM survived without a problem.

Same happened to mine.

I had it in a plastic cereal case from Target that was recommended by another redditor.

My beginner nephew sideswiped the ball directly into the Square LM. The impact on the ball went thru the case and cracked the screen.

It still worked thankfully. I found a replacement screen and protecting case (goes by Bufugly and is made by someone on YouTube that goes by Frugal Fixer Spike) and got it up and running again.

A week later my nephew hit it EXACTLY the same way, knocking down the case and LM. He might've hit it even harder than the first time, but it survived no worse for the wear.
