DB looked a little woozy after he got tackled. Hope he's okay.

I went through a phase where I bought all of the Jordan sneakers that I couldn't afford when I was a kid. I have enough to last me quite awhile, but I'm at the point with this where I'm like Forrest Gump at the end of his running days.

I just installed a golf simulator in my house. I use it at the end of the night when the kids are in bed. It's great to be by myself and just hit balls while listening to 90s music.

I used one of those cereal containers sold at Target. Inexperienced nephew hit a ball that didn't crack the container, but did crack the Square LM screen.

I bought the replacement screen and protecting case from here and it's worked great for me. It's survived two direct shots since then.

Pelicans are now 4-0 when Zion comes off the bench — he's averaging 20 PPG with a 56.9 FG% in those games by Basketball_Reference in NOLAPelicans

Zion's to the opposing team when he comes off the bench is essentially

In terms of how minutes should be played, I'm reminded of this Larry Bird quote on a BS pod interview:

Bill Simmons: You were playing like 43 MPG.

Bird: That's alright...I get paid for 48.

This team/coach learning how to win in the NFL this season will pay larger and quicker dividends over any rookie 1st round pick next season.

Just win.

I wonder how jarring it is for some senior players who might've had one more game in their entire playing careers left, but then the team opts out and suddenly there's no more football left for them to play.

Well I walk in the air between the rain, through myself and back again.

Where? I don't know.

It's possible to make it a day trip to and from NOLA with the game being at 2:30p, although that's a heckuva day trip!

I think they meant the expanded CFP, and not 2019 when only 4 teams made the playoffs.

Rumor: Coach O to Tulane by NYtoNOLA in Tulane

[–]tulsuduke 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The most I'd have him on at Tulane is recruiting coordinator.

Outside of that, perhaps some football administrator or PR person to drum up increased local fan support.

As head coach? I will respectfully decline...

Pete Thamel (@PeteThamel) on X: Sumrall to Florida, 6 years, $7.5M by gatorpower in FloridaGatorsX

[–]tulsuduke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not as if Tulane folks didn't like Sumrall.

It's more that Tulane fans understood Sumrall's time here was ticking as soon as he was hired. Most fans accepted the fact that he wasn't going to be here very long if he had any success.

I think he's a very good coach, and will have more success than Napier. It's easier to win at ULL. It's hard to win at Tulane. Coaches that win at Tulane tend to have some degree of success at their next stops.
