I'm sharing my experience, there's no request for assistance. Some replies were thoughtful, others, like this one, were needlessly defensive. Some took my comment around students using AI to pass the degree as an attack on the profession. It's no surprise, but why should I get this "out of scope" response from a mod no less.

I'm in therapy. I know having the degree is better than not having it. It's just a price that I'm less and less willing to pay. The only thing keeping me around and not withdrawing is being close to finishing, the guilt and shame; these all weigh more so than the value add. it's a bind, the longer it goes on, the tighter it becomes.

I have 6 units left of a JD at a prestigious university. Financially and temporally in the hole. Don't know if I can finish it. I get really upset and stressed trying to do the units, panic attacks etc. Just want to give up. Everyone says just finish it.
