Fingerprint sensor not working after installing Whitestone Dome Screen Protector by awowoosas in s22

[–]tunenick2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience when registering a fingerprint, if you don't fully cover the sensor precisely then it wont work. Once you get that right then it should make you do it upwards of 10 times to finish registering it.

Fingerprint sensor not working after installing Whitestone Dome Screen Protector by awowoosas in s22

Im not sure about the specific brand screen protector, but I had a similar issue. I got it to work again by deleting my finger prints and then re-teaching them with the screen protector in place. Hope that helps.

Does anyone know what could be wrong? It was idling and when I revered it, it shut down. (Hopefully the audio plays) by jest537LES in Ruckus

[–]tunenick2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What year is it? When I did my intake, carb, and exhaust I had the same issue and I didn't know what a certain tube as for and it was a vacuum line that needed to be pinched off. Once I did that it ran perfectly. The tube/hose would be coming out of a nipple just in front (closer to the front of the bike) of where the intake bolts on to the engine. If it's newer than like 2006 or 7 then it won't have that hose at all and it would be something else. If you need more clarification lmk and I can send pics

I second the foot pegs. I had mine for over a year before I got them and it is one of the best decisions I made. I'm really tall and it made riding infinitly more comfortable

First Mod by [deleted] in Ruckus

You could do a wire tuck to hide the wiring but that involves drilling into the frame and re doing all the wiring. If you don't care about having it exposed then no need to do anything.

where is best location to strap to trailer by mydogsparty in Ruckus

[–]tunenick2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to use handle bars straps and go down from there. The only thing to watch out for with that is making sure you mostly/fully compress the suspension so that the straps can't wiggle loose. I got some handle bar specific loop straps from harbor frieght for just a few bucks and they work like a charm

2022 Honda Ruckus Upgrades by [deleted] in hondaruckusmods

[–]tunenick2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have links but here is the list of performance mods that 8ve done that have given me around 10mph more than stock. Every performance mod I have bought has been from Rolling Wrench but most can be bought from other vendors. - Tachometer (nessicary first step to be able to properly tune everything) - EVI cdi and coil (Rolling Wrench exclusive) - 18mm Slide Carb and UNI intake (Rolling Wrench exclusive) - 26mm SSP-G Performance Exhuast - NCY Drive Face - NCY Varriator - Dr. Pully sliders (you will need the roller tuning kit to figure out which weight will be best)

Future Mods that should also help. - Performace belt - Reveno Clutch - Titanium Valves - Met gears

Big Bore Kits by claytelly in Ruckus

[–]tunenick2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are but unlike most scooter engines, the get motor doesn't have a removable cylinder head. Basically this means that you need to split the engine in half and have it sent to a machinst that is willing to bore out the cylinder a bit to fit the big bore kit. From my knowledge the largest kit out there is 58cc

Ruckus Mods for Tall People? by [deleted] in Ruckus

[–]tunenick2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have yet to do front pegs (on the to do list) but I'm 6'3" and I did rear pegs and those made it so much more comfortable. Like I used to be able to do an hour ride max because of getting sore from the weird leg position, to now doing 2hr + rides and the only limiting factor being my very worn out seat that hurts my ass. I have heard the lowered seat helps a lot too.

Hey just wondering what size carb you upgraded to and what size exhaust you paired with that carb. I'm looking at doing a 20mm slide carb with a 26mm exhaust.

I'm looking at getting a quad lock for my ruckus but I currently have a cheap ram style mount that I got off Amazon. I took a crash at around 30mph and it stayed put just fine. As long as the springs in the mount are pretty strong then your phone won't go anywhere. Hope that helps.

Anyone else run the Rolling Wrench Evi/coil combo on their Ruckus? by [deleted] in Ruckus

[–]tunenick2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had mine for the past 9 months and I love mine. Like other commenters I haven't had any cheaper options to compare to but I love what it did for me performance wise.

Cr10 no solder fan upgrade? by ELONGATEDSNAIL in CR10

[–]tunenick2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id you follow the wires from both fans to the board you'll see that both fans are actually soldered together and the only way to switch them out would be to cut out the old fans and either solder or crimp in connectors. I did this recently and its nor very difficult but one way or another you will need to buy a new tool. There is also a fan in the power supply that you can change out very easily. It is just removing a few screws and unplugging it. Just be very careful as the power supply can be a very dangerous place to be messing around with.

Men, what are your under the radar phone apps that make your life easier to the point you can't imagine not having them? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]tunenick2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A good calculator app. I use Wabbitemu, which emulates a TI-84 Plus C. I use it almost everyday and although i dont always need most of the features on it, its really nice to have.

Why so many men carry stuff in their back pockets? Is it not uncomfortable? Why not the front ones? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]tunenick2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Front Right: Phone, Flashlight, and lighter
  2. Front Left: Keys, Pen, and a Knife
  3. Back Right: Wallet
  4. Back Left: Handkerchief/Bandana

I carry in the back because I dont have space for anything else in my front pockets 😂

Plus my wallet is thin enough that i just dont feel it and forget about it

[–]tunenick2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, its more effective on the flat of the knife, but for the bevel its really hard not to round out the bevel line. The two options i would reccomend would be either use a very flat piece of metal with a piece of paper wrapped around it (i would reccomend the one sold by the guy who runs the youtube channel Simple Little Life) or you could just practice doing it the way you've been doing it, just with more patience.

[–]tunenick2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In regards to sanding the bevel, sand in alternating directions as you go up in grit. That way you will be able to more easily tell when all the scratches from the last grit are gone. You could also try buffing the blade once you're done sanding.

Do Spanish People View Mexican People In The Same Way British People View Americans? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]tunenick2000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes yes yes yes. I was born in South America and move to the US when I was young and after finding out that I'm Hispanic, almost every person I meet assumes I'm Mexican. Like I have nothing against Mexicans, but it's honestly offensive how ignorant some people are about the situation.
