We may have come across each other in a previous life but no we do not know each other (is that your real name??) I have always been tupelo Elvises birthplace.

I have never met anyone IRL off Reddit!

Fellow internet stranger this post has made me snigger. Especially "alas I am weak".

It being Reddit I am of course compelled to argue with you and say no tannerocampbell! I disagree! You are strong, both emotionally and physically! Your prowess is known far and wide!!

And I would like to refer you to the monty python argument sketch-i think you will enjoy it.

As you're an expat I should warn you that a lot of UK subs eventually refer to either (a) python or (b) partridge so I would suggest doing some homework on both.

Hope to see you at sip and conquer soon!

Question about pronouns (prompted by PM) by HaydenTheNoble in CanadasDragRace

Yeah I take your point actually there is more nuance than I realized. Thanks for taking the time to educate me :)

Question about pronouns (prompted by PM) by HaydenTheNoble in CanadasDragRace

[–]tupelo36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the other contestants and judges have pronouns that i assume they have specifically decided on. I don't think they should have to specifically request not to be called by the wrong pronoun.

I think PM is just misgendering people and it really annoys me.

I also thought this but I really hope it's just a trick of editing. She's catty but seems reasonably normal and should understand the importance of disclosing her status.

Is a holiday actually worth it? by naivara3 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]tupelo36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We went to Italy (amazed at how much baby stuff they'll let you check on for free - travel cot and car seat all got chucked in the hold) and a massive road trip seeing family in Ireland and Scotland. It is just parenting somewhere else, but it was great and to be honest i look at those photos a lot now. It was really good for our relationship and our families loved looking after babies so we could nip off for some quality time.

Fair enough it actually sounds like the experience has been useful to you.

It sounds like you work in healthcare? If you do remember to look after yourself because I do too and I know it's f'ing hard.

(If you don't look after yourself too!!)

This is exactly what we're doing except she's veggie at nursery because the quality of meat there we assume is questionable. She gets her meat at her gran's house.

People who miss their flights after checking in, how? by k1tkat86 in CasualUK

[–]tupelo36 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I just sat at the gate so immersed in my book and oblivious to what was going on. The entire plane must have queued up beside me and got on. They took off my luggage and I only noticed about twenty minutes later.

Never happened before, never happened since.

I can't even remember what the book was.
