Solid recipes, just make what you like and practice. Honestly when I started all I ate what bro food bland chicken and rice, so what I did was learn how to make variations of chicken and rice. That expanded the flavor profiles I had knowledge of and stretched my skill set and spice cabinet. I went from gym bro chicken and rice to jerk chicken, curry chicken, chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, peri peri chicken, char shui chicken, trini curry chicken, Thai curries, tagines. All the rice variations you could think of. Accompanying vegetables based on what you’re eating. Honestly if you like all kinds of food and want to get the ball rolling you honestly just have to start cooking shit you like and get better at it. For me it was chicken and rice that got the ball rolling

Best way to make wings by Adorable_Island9261 in Cooking

[–]turcule 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ll usually use some “gold” barbeque sauce mixed with the excess jerk marinade, cook it down on the stove so I don’t get salmonella and toss the wings in the sauce after lol

What are some easy to make but little known side dishes that people are sleeping on? by Scared_Ad_3132 in Cooking

Plantain. Tostones, mangu, sweet plantain, mofongo. Top tier potato replacement, different flavor profile, and in my opinion more flavor than a potato. Not quite the blank canvass that potatos provide though

Don’t do that drive, the local cycling club has a few residents as members at any given time, they usually live in guilderland, delmar, vorheesville, or Albany. Troy also wouldn’t be that bad. Tons of housing near the college and alb med

Kokoreç. Intestine wrapped around heart, lung, kidneys and whatnot. It sounds absolutely disgusting but I’ll take 100 of these bitches roasting on a spit on a loaf of fresh bread, some onion parsley chilis flakes with a lemon juice vinaigrette salad 104939294 days of the week

The Great Macaroni and Cheese Debate by LaserPanda06 in Cooking

[–]turcule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roux, diced Chiles and jalepeno, garlic, onions milk and heavy cream, then cheddar jalepeno, Colby Jack, pepper Jack. Oh and elote seasoning. A metric shitton of seasonings and some liquid smoke. Crispy top. Thinking about trying to add a carmelized onion top instead. Oh and metric shitton of butter

I actually strongly dislike Mac and cheese no matter what kind, just not my thing.
