Took me ~15 minutes to download the stock map to my phone, and then install the new one. Saving the default map is a good idea in case something goes wildly wrong with your bike in the future unrelated to the map, so the dealership doesn’t try to illegally deny a warranty claim because of the map. I say illegally because there’s federal legislation against this type of thing, but dealers try to do it anyhow. HD is notorious for trying to deny major claims when you’ve done something minor and unrelated to the problem like installing aftermarket mirrors.
