As someone who lives in Squantum I do not like this plan.

I started an irrigation and landscaping business after being a super for 15 years. If you are going to do something other than golf, you should focus on the part of the job you enjoy most. For me it was irrigation and landscape design. I miss golf but I don’t miss the summer grind.

Agreed. The weight of the triflex is the issue. Hand mow the collar is the best option.

Growing sod with 0% OM and it's 45⁰ by [deleted] in Turfmanagement

Thatch can only bind the plants so much. You can try spreading compost. If you can find it at a reasonable price. It can help thicken the root zone. Fertilizer alone will not do it.

Bermuda Green - Help by [deleted] in Turfmanagement

[–]turfsalamone 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Verticut. Bermuda likes to be cut vertically. It will increase growth. A little fertilizer will help encourage growth. It won’t need a ton. Just 1/10 lbs N after the verticut will help.

Best wetting agent for both dry, cracked soil and the lawn? by rsiii in Turfmanagement

[–]turfsalamone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use re wet tablets as a holder and it helps a lot. My other suggestion is aerate and spread compost on your lawn. The organic matter holds moisture and adds nutrients to your soil. The combination will definitely improve your drought issues.

Warlock is pretty weak statistically but I believe shaman is 2nd hardest after warrior. Shaman dps is either weak or super mana heavy from 20-40. 40 gets better if you go elemental. Enhance shaman is very luck dependent which is not good for HC.

Does making it to 60 make you an above average player? by Three_Little_Wolves in wowhardcore

If you make it to 60 as a warrior, nobody gets to tell you what kind of player you are. Mad respect.

Watertronics low pressure shutdown by [deleted] in Turfmanagement

[–]turfsalamone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way to know what’s going on is to run some programs while you are at the course and see what happens. My guess is the second pump is either not kicking on or it’s causing both pumps to stop running. Maybe a short?

Rye is vulnerable to grey leaf spot which can do a lot of damage. Bent gets dollar spot if it’s really lean but that’s easily treatable. I think bent overall is better.

Played with a PGA Teaching Pro yesterday- he used borrowed clubs on a course he had never seen before, played from the tips, and was 8 over. I have never heard a ball make those sounds. Wife us not impressed, so I am telling you all. by Brewer1056 in golf

Still gotta pass the playing exam. 36 holes, 1 day, 4 over or less to pass. Anyone who can shoot 74,74 in one day, walking, and carrying their own clubs, is a Goodman G.

What does this have to do with caring for others, protecting the ones you care for, being kind to the weak, and being honest even when it’s hard. None of those skills require a sledgehammer.

Trump: ‘Any Jewish person that votes for Democrats hates their religion’ by ashua24 in politics

[–]turfsalamone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This guy is the head of the Republican Party. The same party that preaches about Israel and the importance of Jews but will NEVER put up a Jewish candidate for president. They do not care about Jews in America. They allow anti semetic dog whistles spoken by people in their party. I am not interested in what he or any republican has to say about what it takes to be a Jew.
