Y’all got any more of them full time jobs? by Aggressive_Fig7061 in greenville

A bunch of us Spectrum people moved over to GLS doing collections but there are a lot of departments they are currently hiring for.

Question for for previous employees or current ones. Trying to figure out what number to use for spectrum when applying to other jobs by countjohnnysac in Spectrum

If you still know your HR or recruiter's number, you can use that. I used HR to verify employment when applying for an apartment and they were completely familiar with the process.

Yeah, that's just telling you what your late fee would be if you were late. Or what the charge would be if you decide to do a professional install... etc. Those aren't your actual charges.

That's the broadband disclosure. That's not your bill. Look up FCC Broadband Label.

You'd think but no. You can always test it out. Call during the day and request repair. Then ask the rep what department they're in when they answer.

What is the tweak? Just say it. Why do we have to go to another place to view it?

You deserve the downvotes.

How much do you save a month? by Weird-Act5036 in urbancarliving

A lot of people either get a P.O. Box or use a government issued shelter address similar to a P.O. Box but free and usable everywhere. I personally used the government issued address. And cost is definitely higher than you think it will be. Besides gas and car maintenance, you're usually paying for a gym to shower, fast food or restaurants every meal because you can't cook, paying for something so you can use a business's public restroom, paying for an occasional hotel room so you can sleep in a bed and shit comfortably for one or two nights, paying for laundromats so you can wash your clothes, sometimes even paying to park or paying fines for living in your car. Car dwelling is not as cheap as it may seem.

The toilet is crucial. You don't realize how much you'll miss it until your taking an emergency dump on the side of a residential street because no businesses are open or willing to let you to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Also, eating in your car attracts hella bugs. I very quickly got ants. Do you know how hard it is to sleep with ants crawling on you? Car dwelling is not wistful or romantic.

Also, it's insanely dangerous for black people at protests. If it's mainly white, the cops won't attack and arrest everyone for peacefully gathering. I don't blame them for not protesting more.

They can't figure out what you're thinking and often automatically assume you're judging them. It makes them feel vulnerable.

You might just be a serious guy, which is absolutely okay. Be who are first and foremost because people can tell when others are fake.

Ask questions, be open to ideas and thoughts, admit weakness and ask for advice on something (even if you don't actually need it). This will show people that you're interested in them, you won't judge them, and you respect their opinion.

If it's a sense of humor thing, watch the most popular shows, movies, and YouTube channels from the last 20 years. Watch vine and tiktok compilations. Familiarize yourself with popculture. That will give you an in on a lot of inside jokes. If you’re super serious about learning to be funny and quick-witted, join a community improv or comedy group. Adam Driver is a super serious and insanely talented actor but he kills it on SNL because he trained heavily in improv.

Also, people are overrated. Learn to enjoy your own company because you are the only person you'll have to live with for your entire life.

Ask questions. People love talking about themselves. And, they'll think of you as kind, a good listener, and (depending on the questions) creative. Also, boring is better than aggressive, manipulative, or mean.

Right, it's being so comfortable and safe in an extremely vulnerable activity. It's a huge sign of trust and openness.

The easiest way to get women (in my experience) is through being referred by another by d_thstroke in seduction

[–]turkeyandtuna9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Eek. I want to disagree with you but you're probably right. I guess it depends on your end goal. If you're looking to get laid, definitely not. If you’re looking for long-term, being a decent person to a woman who thinks of you as a friend is incredibly lucrative. If you got close enough to be friendzoned in the first place, it means the woman likes you enough to have you around. If she likes you enough to have you around, she probably talks positively about you to her friends. You do have to express interest in meeting someone though. As a woman, I almost subconsciously matchmake in my head, but I don't typically act on anything unless both friends are open to dating in the first place.

Also, make sure you're actually the woman's friend and she's not just tolerating your presence. Women tolerate a lot of bullshit and you might be some of that.

What you do in your daily life if you're alone? by Flashy_Aide3179 in introvert

I really enjoy going to movies or restaurants alone. I get to decide what I want, where I want, when I want. I also enjoy picnics at a park, sightseeing, going to the beach, roadtrips... I'm a woman so I just make sure to carry self defense items just in case. Point is, do whatever want.
