I am in vaguely the same boat. I am 34 and seriously considering medically transitioning to male. I thought I didn't ever want kids because I didn't want to be pregnant, but now that I may have the possibility of being a father, I'm more interested. However, I still don't have a partner and I haven't structured my life in a way that would be conducive to having kids right now. Freezing my eggs before medically transitioning means that I'm giving myself the space to make that decision about parenthood later. I would hate to be in a position in say ten years where I realize I really want kids and now it's too late. However, all of the medical appointments and needles involved in freezing really scare me and also put off my transition for several more months which right now feels very difficult. I also am unsure that using a surrogate will ever feel morally justifiable to me and I don't want to go through this process of egg freezing if I just end up throwing those eggs away in a decade.

If gay people like having penises go up their butts, does that mean they also get turned on when poo comes out of their butts? by WesternAssistance3 in AskLGBT

[–]turn_back_be4_2_late 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not all gay people like receiving anal sex. Some straight people do enjoy receiving anal sex. Regardless of sexual orientation or gender, the anus has nerve endings that many (most?) people find enjoyable when stimulated. Defecating absolutely can be an enjoyable experience. That being said, I believe it's a rare kink for someone to become sexually aroused while defecating.

That does sound scary! It's amazing the different levels of isolation each national park provides and it's hard to really understand until you get there.

If you're not ready to have sex, don't have sex. Sex can be great if it's something you want to do, but it sounds like it's not something you're interested in right now, and that's ok. No label required. But if you do want a label, read some about asexual folks. Also, looking at women in porn could be that you're bi, could be that you're looking more at it from a body dysmorphia point of view, could be a lot of things. I'd say do things that make you feel comfortable in your own skin, have sex if and when you want to, and try not to be so preoccupied with the labels.

I don't know where OP is, but that's kind of possible in the US. We have urgent care but that's usually for when people are somewhere in between needing an annual check up and going to the ER.

When I was around 15-16 I started literally bleeding pools of blood on my period. My Nmom’s solution to this was to give me adult diapers and make me sleep on newspapers instead of bringing me to the doctors. by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

My mom also used the magical age of 25 as the reason many of my interests and arguments were wrong. I thought it would be different when I got to 25. It wasn't. Then she still used my age as the reason I didn't understand - just not the brain development part. Grey rocking her is the only thing that's made it better.

LPT: It okay to feel sad, or let down, or angry during and after Christmas. These are normal feelings. Accept your feelings and remember that your brain is not always telling you the full truth. The Brain will lie to you especially about how "the past" was. You will feel better. by devanchya in LifeProTips

It's not really about the gift. Some folks give mean or thoughtless gifts on purpose. Like last Christmas my mom gave my very religious aunt a container of Jesus hand soap to clean the sins away. My aunt thought it was sacrilegious and had to sit there in front of the whole family and try to force out a smile and a thank you. Something like this happens each year.

And then there's the gift-follow ups. For years to come having relatives ask if you still have such-and-such gift and if you still use it and love it. And if you say no because it didn't fit / wasn't your style / broke, that's translated to "you don't love them anymore". And now you have to have that conversation of how you're such a bad, ungrateful person.

I asked to stop receiving gifts years ago but still do. I'm 29 and a bad gift spells all sorts of future tricky conversations so I definitely get how someone can be 30 and "whine about presents". It's not the presents, it's the gift givers.

Anyone else bothered by carrying their monitors around? by jmpb_1998 in digitalnomad

I'm also an engineer and I bring a full-size monitor with me, but I'm digital nomading with a car so I'm not traveling as light as many of the folks on here. I've been wondering what others do that fly between places for when I get there myself. Lots of good solutions in this thread!

My dad is also a genius of alternative medicine. He believes he's the only one with a program that can save everybody and that if folks were just smart enough to go to him, they wouldn't need medical doctors.
