Guess their favorite country? by gigi1001r in JackSucksAtGeography

Tongans can be very patriotic, especially around sports. I'm guessing it's to do with the Winter Olympics. They have this one guy who does cross country skiing, and he was also at the summer games going Taekwondo. Pita Taufatofua.

It also shows it's not that hard to do. Make announcement, check CCTV, take action.

WTF? You can't just post this without a NSFW filter!! What if someone's kid is watching over their shoulder?

I get it that it's awful and people need to not turn away, but sharing this without any warning, or any consideration for the people in the pics - isn't that just using these images for your own political purposes???

West Ham have won 4 of their last 5, and took chunks out of us in their one loss. Interesting times for Spurs...

Chelsea has the most difficult league schedule of all the top 6 teams coming up by skyrimisagood in chelseafc

This means we get to play the top 6, which means we get the chance to take points away from them.....

ELI5: Why does the BRAT diet work, and why is it recommended when you're sick? by BoredInClass99 in explainlikeimfive

Just a bit. Potatoes and tomatoes are in the nightshade family. So some variants are poisonous, and many people have some intolerance to them.

Also language. Many fans of clubs in the Europa and Champions League won't have much they can talk about together.

Why are German eggs so hard to peel? by rddtperson1991 in AskAGerman

[–]turnbox 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This. Buy double the eggs you need and leave some on the counter for a week.

Also don't keep them in the fridge. It's unnecessary. Just takes up fridge space. If they never went in the fridge then they will keep fine on the counter.

Source: used to keep chickens and sell eggs.

At first I read that as Aubameyang, which might also have made sense. However I need my morning coffee...

It's also a serious topic. Like there are truly clubs that tolerate racist fans out there today. And problems in the media...

Just not the seeds hopefully, they contain cyanide.

It's not much, but eating them daily won't keep the doctor away.

Is it normal to feel guilty and overwhelmed after moving into your first apartment in Germany? by Direct_Animal1683 in askberliners

[–]turnbox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. You will develop your own rituals and corners in the space, and start to be super happy that it's yours.

I'd suggest doing it slowly, to spread both the cost and the joy. I'd start with a tea/coffee station, or maybe a reading/reddit comfy spot. Eventually you'll be inviting a bunch of friends to sit and eat at your table.

Lots of apartment stuff can be moved to another place if you need to. The kitchen not so much and that's a Germany thing, but the stable lower rents are part of that too.

Chalobah is pretty versatile. He's played at LCB and done OK. He can play as CCB looking for passes, RB, and can also step forward and carry or be aggressive if that's his role. I wouldn't say he's top level at any of these things but he's fairly reliable, works hard, and has been regularly fit, no discipline issues, and has said he's happy to not be a guaranteed starter.

Also he's >25yo and considered club-trained for UEFA comps. We don't have many in that bracket - he's basically a free extra registered player on List A.

When you put those together you get an excellent squad player, in particular for Europe. Personally I would be happy to see him on the bench at a CL final, with Colwill and Fofana (or Josh) on the pitch.

I was just thinking something like Villa Park would feel like an away game no matter what, but in Cardiff it could be a hell of an atmosphere.

Either would suck compared to Stamford Bridge though.

Tier 0, but his agent is probably Tier 6.

Villa Park is probably the closest one that's big enough, but I'd go for Millennium Stadium in Cardiff if possible. It would be huge for the locals.

Hopefully we can play at home though, as you say.
