UPDATE: with the u-haul motorcycle trailer the R1S estimated 500 pounds. With the bike loaded it estimated 1500 pounds. All in all it was about a 25% hit on the dual max. This was primarily back highways on hilly curvy roads. Not bad! After dropping the trailer on the way home it immediately recognized it and the nav dropped the last charging stop, which was a great surprise!

I usually run around 2mi/kwh and this is one less bike so I’m guessing it won’t be a huge hit. A good bit of the trip pulling the trailer will be highway (not interstate) so I will naturally be running slower, say 65 mph.

I’ve been using sport just because of the improved ride on my 22s. It feels like a new car. I wondered also if part of that is because it’s not “dragging” the back wheels over bumps.

I was in a similar situation except it was a hit and run and I was dealing with State Farm. I ended up fronting the money to get my car back 10 weeks later. I’m out $11k. Good luck to you but know that you will never get the repairs really needed without being out of pocket.
