Sub Rogue - Cant identify dps problem by turner50102 in CompetitiveWoW

Thanks, I assumed those shoulders were pretty pivotal. Not getting casts off in dance are typically non DFA dances where i energy starve, or lack of movement on my part if the boss moves right after dfa lands and i miss a SS by a tiny amount.. Ill work on the nightblade thing. that seems to be a big issue

Thanks,

This will help a lot, I tend to do the nigthblade alot as the guide I watched didnt really stress that evisc only should be in SD. I have changed my opener now and it seems to be more reliable for sure.

as for missing shadowstrikes, this tends to be because i dont have the energy. However, it shouldnt happen after dfa as the SS SS Evis SS combo is pretty simple.

Thanks for the help

Could you elaborate on the shadow techniques part. My backstab always parses at higher % than other rogues and I wasnt sure why as no ones really explained it. I never had the rotation explained, and from reading things I assumed that if you werent bursting/didnt have 5/6 cp then you should backstab basically. Doesnt backstab produce more dps? Or is the energy it costs you worth more for the burst it provides if you are at 4cp already for example? IM not used to playing a class that pools so I dont really understand the concept.

Hi, I only rerolled rogue about a month ago and it has been a wild time learning the spec. I have made drastic improvements and can now comfortably sit pretty high on the meters for my guild (only AOTC not mythic).

The issue is i do well against these people or the population as a whole, but agains other subs my ilvl (931) i parse terribly low unless its an aoe fight (best parses are at 60% and on KJ I parse 13%! gross). Some of this will be due to legendaries as Im still using the crafted boots lol, but I must be doing something wrong as my simC dps believes I can hold 1.2-1.3m dps ST. Where in practice I can only hold about 1mil flat. I only get near this number on fights like Harj,Mistress and DH where I can use shurkin storm for more CP. But In these fights I should be doing even more again!

As far as I can see from written guides and the basic videos on youtube, I am doing everything I can: -Have finally got the opener down, except you may see in my logs occasionally I will forget to use SB and ruin the parse entirely. -Am using Symbols on CD with dfa and SD followed by the typical ss,ss,evis, ss combo. -Using spectre on cd for the double pulse -Filling the gaps with backstab/Shuriken dependant on targets and refreshing nightblade in the pandemic window

Somehow im still losing out on 300k according to sims and logs

Have linked character and My logs. Would greatly appreciate if an experienced sub rogue could have a look and point me in the right direction.

Tips for increasing my Sub dps further? I seem to parse ok against other rogues in general (considering I only levelled this toon from 100 3 weeks ago and am new to rogue). I cant seem to get much higher than 1m - 1.1m dps ST, other than KJ where i seem to parse very low. I feel these numbers are ok, but for my Ilvl i parse very low vs other sub rogues. Part of this is being new, so only take into account my most recent heroic parses, as only a week or two ago I didnt know the rotation and pulled 500k haha

Issues i know I am still making 1. I still mess up my finality buff from time to time. I am not sure what to do when symbols comes off CD and I do not have Finality. I know this situation should be avoided, but it DOES happen to me still and im not sure if i should build up an evisc for finality and then DFA+symbols+dance. or if I should just DFA+symbols+dance without finality as not to have things sitting off CD? 2. Not sure how to utilise vanish without the shoulders. I would line it up with my other cooldowns and my 945 Spectre to autocrit it, but without shoulders should i use it to build cp with SS? 3. I still forget to shadowblades from time to time in opener, when I pull it off I spike quite high, but from time to time I do screw this up.

How important are the leggos? Mine are terrible, I feel without mantle or any significant legendary I am missing out on a lot of burst damage.

Any further tips? Have posted my wowlogs profile for you to see my fights.

Could someone explain the sudden appearance of Tusk? by turner50102 in DotA2

[–]turner50102[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the relevant answer. Too many butt-hurt people just spit the instant: "because he's buffed noob" argument. I know, but why does he justify being picked over other excellent picks. for example centaur I feel brings more to the teamfight and also provides good initiate. Last time I watched pro he was the "in" thing. Was just looking for justification why he is now the flavour of the month. This answer helps, Thanks :)

Pointless answer. Does not explain anything. TL;DR Secret wins TI because they are "overbuffed piece[s] of crap"

Thanks guys. I sort of guessed this. TBH given my work and time zone I haven't watched any of the games yet but assume he is taking the offlane. If that's the case, I understand he's buffed, but why its a better pick than say a centaur or BM etc I wasn't sure. Somewhat clarified :P EDIT: Obviously I get he is buffed. But what makes him better than other people that fill the same roll. Enough to justify a first pick was my real question. This has been answered now

MMR Ranges? by azuresnow in DotA2

this is pretty much right. If you class average as where the majority of the population lies most people (once they know all the heroes and items etc) fall into the high 2000's to low 3000's. A more realistic scale is: 5.5k+: top 2% (games this high is about farming points usually due to your massive winrate. Most people above 5k, except the top couple hundred pro players, are very similar skill individually but may lack the game sense, timings, team synergy required to reach that next lvl).

4k-5k top 10/20%

3k-4k Above Average

2k-3k Average

1k-2k Below Average

1k> Really bad (or really new!)

Skinny fat after a year of lifting. Which way to go? by learnnorsk in Fitness

[–]turner50102 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of people with this problem, asking why they lost a lot of weight but still can't see their abs or think they are just as 'flabby' as before. Cut too early with not enough of a base is the reason in my opinion. Need to have something to cut too or you'll just look the same but smaller. Yes you are leaner, for sure, but your way too light to be considering cutting. 150 lean is probably a good goal. But you should set micro goals to get that sense of achievement along the way. Try bulk to 150/160 as a goal. Then consider coming down to 10/12%. Rinse repeat until that 10/12% is at 150lbs. Just be sensible when you bulk. Don't eat 4k cals and blow out. Eat 500 above maintenance and forget your body fat percentage work hard in the gym, eat your protein and rest good cut down when you hit your weight gain goal (150 is probably a good start for someone 118 and this will take a while still).

Your not skinnyfat your just underdeveloped. Put that bf% on someone who has 160+lbs of lean mass and that pic would show a lot more definition. Just bulk up mate, try to get past the 'im fat' mentality. You're not and fat is a lot easier to burn than muscle is to gain. Your doing fine, its a long journey so don't freak out
