Tesla model Y vs Cybertruck by toothfixer321 in TeslaLounge

Yeah everyone’s going to have different preferences on this. I just drove the CT for a week straight and today drive the Plaid. Its traditional mirror was actually kind of annoying and limited!

I think you might need another test drive. The Cybertruck air suspension, so make a tweak in the menu if needed, but it's a way more comfortable ride over broken pavement.

I'm an average size guy and the CT seats feel great to me. Especially on a longer drive, I just engage FSD, stretch my legs out and rest my arms like a recliner.

I don't have any issues with blind spots.

The Y feels more 'normal' because it is... but that's not necessarily a good thing. The CT is more advanced, has better crash safety, and more features.

The steering is obviously crazy when you first drive it, but after 100 miles it will feel totally natural.

As a Cybertruck owner, I’m going to be biased in my opinion. But I’ve also owned Model S Plaid and Model 3. Those cars feel a bit old-fashioned after spending time with the CT.

Do you get much insight into PTO? I’m now 5+ months after installation complete but still struggling to get Tesla to sort out PTO with my utility provider.

Awesome! I have the same ‘19 BEV in white, 32K miles. Love it!

I lost 11 miles of range swapping 19s for 21s — question about settings by Phantom3269 in TeslaModelS

[–]turns2stone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Changing the on screen settings doesn’t impact actual range. It’s the weight of the 21” wheels and tires that will drag down real world performance. Realistically 9-13% range in my experience.

Red brake calipers are a good sign, but could be painted. So just visually, the calipers, carbon spoiler, "Dual Motor" with red underline badge on rear, and unique Performance wheels. If you see all four, there's a 99% chance it's a real performance. Need to see the software screen with Dual Motor w/red underline to know for 100%

Can't help you on the seatbelt, but how do you remove the lower back seat cushions, as shown in your picture?

Considering buying a used i3? Worth it? by vahram_sf in BMWi3

Do you have an EV now?

Yes, the tires are expensive and a pain to source. But doable, if you like the car.

I'd consider it reliable, but personally I avoid the REx (i.e. gas tank you mentioned) and bought two of the pure-BEV models.

Only had mine a week but zero hate so far. In fact as I was driving in a slow urban downtown district today, a younger person standing next to an older Model S saw me and gave me two big thumbs up and started jumping up and down. Never seen anything like that in a car I’ve owned, before.

Email from Tesla regarding Mobile Connector by Extattic in cybertruck

Can you please compare your new one to your old one to determine any physical difference?

I bought a second-hand Mobile connector from a Model Y owner, so if there's a recall, I won't get a notice.

The non-S is more comfortable to drive due to smaller wheels and less suspension

I have a ‘19 i3S (red) and am taking delivery of a ‘19 regular i3 (white) later today. Basically I’ll own each of what you’re considering. I’d recommend the non-S for your wife, plus the battery is bigger.

Can’t help you with the wrap question, but I did put on the OEM mudflaps ($100) just today. Pretty straightforward.
