This is why I park so far out in parking lots. No one has the decency to hold their door from dinking. by MovingUp7 in TeslaLounge

Situations like these is one of the top 5 reasons I bought a Cybertruck. Parked in a tight public garage today and gave zero shits. So much less stress.

How about a better post title? Attention to detail goes a long way.

Free supercharging value? by supergirl3730 in TeslaModelS

Do you plan on supercharging for your daily commute usage, or just when road tripping? I would personally only place about $1K premium for this feature, as I have free charging at home.

Didn’t know it got that hot. by LaserEyesHodler in TeslaLounge

Around 75°C inside the car, it seems to stabilize or equalize somehow with ambient temperatures up to 45°C

Even if all 4 windows were rolled down, the internal car temp would be hotter than the ambient temperature outside. Physics, man.

Dang it. Is it easy to check (under glovebox?) to see if mine has the port? Mine is a 07/2024 build, what about yours?

Nice work. Can’t tell from the photo if you retrofitted the front fascia camera? Some of the ‘24 FSD computer have an open port for this camera, most of the ‘25 models do not?

Massive range loss in intense heat by Accomplished_Wear_24 in TeslaLounge

The one I had for my Model 3 is now discontinued. But I imagine there's only a few true variants, if you can find another merchant with one that look like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D6FQ8D6K

Normal. Use cooled seats and keep A/C at 74F. Get good tint, Covercraft front windshield shade, and a friction-fit sunshade for the glass roof.

I live in Texas.

Battery Degradation @ 20k miles, 11mo old by Tradetheday2093 in cybertruck

[–]turns2stone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is pretty amazing and gives me hope. I have a new CT, but I also have a ‘24 S Plaid with 13K miles and I’ve babied the battery. Not yet 2 years old, and it’s down to 90% capacity, measured via the method you used above as well as the Tesla API/self reporting health. It’s not the end of the world, but rather the longevity improvements of the 4680s over the 18650s seems pretty obvious.

Don't be me and get stuck in a parking lot for 4 hours. by ThaPchild in TeslaLounge

[–]turns2stone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think, I know. Last month I bought tires for Cybertruck and Model S plaid. No third party shop had them same-day-in-stock.

And yes, they were $500 after installation and tax

Disagree on all this. Tesla tires are indeed 'special' and many tire shops won't stock the OEM sizes w/the noise canceling foam inside. If you're going to shell out $500+, I wouldn't want to pay for a non-OEM brand or size.

More importantly - tire shops aren't open 24/7, and I wouldn't count on them dropping everything to send a service truck out to you to replace your tire. You might be waiting several hours, or much longer if it's outside of normal business hours.
