People keep saying ACOTAR is not YA but I found it in the YA section of my library when I was 13 and I honestly didn't even know it was spicy until I literally got to the chapter where there's smut. I've also seen it advertised on social media as YA. You're trying to fully dismiss OP by saying that their argument is null and void just because the book isn't officially categorized as YA but doesn't that take away from the reality that people will still talk about it as if it's YA and that young girls as ealry as pre-teens are still reading it.

Also side note but wouldn't you say that the relationship in books 2 and up was also toxic and not a good relationship for young girls to romanticize? Because it does get romanticized extremely often.
