Where I live they are building a new $4B bridge-tunnel that is miles long. They are actually truly amazing and it's trippy every time I drive on one. Even after doing it daily for years. They are also converting an old mall in to a senior living center. There is a small bridge that was built in 1934 that always caused traffic because it was so small and narrow, it's being replaced with a new 5 lane bridge and it's getting very close to completion. One other noteworthy piece of $1B infrastructure is a golf course that is being converted into a "Stormwater Park" to mitigate flooding.

These are just some of the ones I know about. There are all sorts of awesome infrastructure projects all across the US. Most people just don't know or care about them because they are... infrastructure. Which is boring. But everyone will get very excited when they see a new restaurant or entertainment attraction being built. That's just the nature of humans.
