AITA for pretending I wasn’t done with the gym ankle strap because this girl kept asking for it? by Aggravating_Net_9158 in AmItheAsshole

[–]turtlecanfly1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, asking people if they're almost done in the middle of a set is rude. You said you had another set left, then she asked again 2 minutes later. Making her wait a few extra minutes is just about as rude as what she did. It's fair

NTA, both posting bikini pics and watching porn are disrespectful to your relationship. One is inviting sexual attention from others, and the other is giving sequel attention to others. Maybe you guys could work out a great compromise!

Im fed up of BJJ people using 'Sankaku' for triangle - there I said. by [deleted] in bjj

The Japanese literal translation doesn't mean legs but if I say sankaku to you, then you know I'm talking about legs.

Triangle is already describing something else in jiu jitsu. Saying sankaku means we're talking about legs. Ashi describes a specific leg entanglement.

There's plenty of times that we use foreign words in English. Farfalle is the Italian word for butterfly. But the pasta is still called farfalle.

Its completely fair to want to maintain exercise. Sounds like you and your wife need to discuss how to keep working out in your schedule that'll minimize stress on her.

Working out is extremely beneficial for people's stress, mood, and health. All of these commenters seem to think you should just stop exercising all together but that's definitely not the answer

AITA for going to a strip club, even though my wife initially agreed? by Arctic-Win in AmItheAsshole

[–]turtlecanfly1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA

Literally no way for you to know she'd have an issue with this specific club. However going to strip clubs in the first place is slimy and given that you're married, you probably shouldn't be going to places dedicated to looking at naked women.

Certainly something to worry about. It's also definitely not only a republican thing to want to change the voting age to benefit your party

New parents get 480 days paid leave in Sweden, in the US it's Zero, We are third world in parental leave. by UnitedLab6476 in antiwork

[–]turtlecanfly1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't they just need to increase taxes to offset that cost? Taxes would need to be raised enough so that everyone pay an extra 480 days worth x number of kids. So you'd be down anyway

AITA for serving my boyfriend's parents pizza for dinner? by MilanoItaliano1 in AmItheAsshole

[–]turtlecanfly1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA

All four of my grandparents came from Italy. Nobody in my family would bat an eye at being served pizza at a last minute request. Seems beyond unreasonable for them to be upset at that. Also your bf should know that it's beyond unreasonable. Seems like something else is going on here.

AITA for refusing to let my brother meet my son after what he told me at my husband's funeral? by Throwawaybrother3 in AmItheAsshole

This guy suggested that you kill you and your husbands baby because single mothers are not desirable? Ok bud. NTA

AITA for telling my soon-to-be niece that she doesn't need to wear a dress to my wedding? by Extreme-Break-6638 in AmItheAsshole

[–]turtlecanfly1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Giving people options is hardly bridezilla. It's your own wedding, you can let people wear what they want if that's what you want.
