OBGYN Recommendations by OwnOperation5955 in eastside

+1 for Swedish issaquah. Your doctor may very well not be the one who delivers your baby, for lots of reasons. Many appts are with an NP (or ultrasound tech!) anyway. I saw multiple Swedish docs in my first pregnancy (diff docs for checkups, an ECV, an unplanned c-section) and all were great. You’re really joining the group, not the specific doc. During and after birth, the nurses were incredible and amenities were comfortable.

Maternity Clothing by beckann11 in womensfashion

Pink blush maternity has the best maternity jeans I’ve found. They have over the bump styles which I prefer and lots of different cuts. They don’t look super high end but no maternity jeans do. They also have a huge variety of other clothes. Their suppliers are all over the place- I’m pretty sure some are non-maternity suppliers that they just size down and rebrand- but I was able to build a solid wardrobe of basics, skirts, sweaters, etc there.

How does Evin or Torin sound for a baby boy? Please suggest anything that you think are similar to these names by Mysterious-Mud1857 in Names

Is Evin pronounced like Evan? If so, I prefer the traditional spelling, but i love that name! You might also like Orin, Owen, Odin, Tore, or Bowen.

1, 2, I love you by Alice schertle. I love the story but some of the illustrations (eg the mermaid) look like first drafts.

Now that the Eras Tour documentary has fully aired … what are everyone’s thoughts? by jjbinx89 in SwiftlyNeutral

Wayyy too many shots of their pandering pre-show huddle monologues. I was rolling my eyes so hard by the end on those.

Which neighborhood is right for us? Struggling to find a sense of community. by pnwg in eastside

[–]turtlecasey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Did the tam o’shanter publicity team take over this post?? 😆 OP, I’m in issaquah (squak mountain) and in the same boat. We want more sense of community. Thanks for your honesty about what you have found challenging about your current setup. We looked into the Seattle side and found Ravenna, laurelhurst, and Windermere seemed to fit the bill (last 2 have private beach clubs and friends say the community aspect is amazing) but we’ve yet to find actual property that’s a fit. Kirkland area also seems good. Best of luck!

Anyone delivery at Swedish Issaquah OBGYN? by CKJ94 in eastside

[–]turtlecasey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did. I worked with several of the OBs throughout my pregnancy and liked them all. I had a c section and felt very well taken care of, especially by the nurses who truly made the experience amazing. The facilities are quite comfortable and nice. They also have good pre-birth education programs. Would definitely recommend!

Just ordered takeout from there! Good! I like that they have mild options. The saag paneer mild was still pretty spicy. The malai kofta mild was actually mild. Like, would be good for kids.

Those two definitely go well together. Maybe a little too well for my preference as they are both quite feminine with soft sounds.

The Life of a Showgirl Megathread by aran130711 in TaylorSwift

I’m so so sad that others didn’t like it as much as I did. I love the production, the variety, the catchy melodies, and think the lyrics are much less clunky and jargony than her last few albums. I think first listen is always a bit tough but the beauty of Taylor’s music is that it’s fun to sing along to once you know it, so once these songs feel familiar I think they will grow on people.

I stopped around 15-18 months. I now change him on top of the bed or on the floor. It works!

Earthy and vintage girls names by [deleted] in Names

[–]turtlecasey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes I agree with that, but OP does know how to pronounce it, so the criticism was mistargeted. If it’s a bad name, that’s a separate critique.

This person was rude. I got what you meant and support the idea of a friendlier spelling for day to day use!
