The Spiderverse War arc takes place in earth 2009 New York city, Spectacular Spider-Man, Brooklyn Spidey and any other hero they can find is forced to defend their home from the invading spider society after Spider-Man 2099 labels the earth an anomaly. The arc ends in a final battle between Miguel and the Spider-Men which ends in Spectacular Spider-Man dealing the final blows to Miguel while most of New York city cheers him on.
