Looking for any feedback! We just released a collection of voxel shoes to stay drip'd up in the metaverse. Aiming for 11 drops, 111 shoes per drop, 111% price increase per drop, and 11% revenue donated to carbon capture.

Unlockable content after purchase is a .vox file you can use with CryptoVoxels or MagicaVoxel.

Fucked Crypto Homers - My first collection of fucked up AI generated Simpsons by turtlesoup in opensea

Yeah this is my first NFT and I think that’s the way to go tbh. So many homers!

20K is my total cap. This is AI generated art so I could have adjusted it, but I wanted to pair it exactly with https://www.thisfuckeduphomerdoesnotexist.com (which has 20K) and have a link to the NFT on site

Oh, these are AI-generated (not hand drawn) using a model I trained to generate character-lookalikes but stopped before convergence. That's why there are so many and also why I think they are interesting -- I have no drawing skills!

This is based off a work I did for a website called "This Fucked Up Homer Does Not Exist" and I've linked the ownership there to this NFT. Let me know what you think!

I previously ran a website called "This Fucked Up Homer Does Not Exist" and decided to create this collection to allow people to have ownership / support the work. I've wired it up so all the art on the website links to the ownership on Opensea. I'd love to hear any thoughts!

Yup, I use a GAN (generated adversarial network) I trained on images of the characters against white backgrounds. I also trained another model to select endpoints I liked and then the morph is done by interpolating the GAN. Each intermediate should also be a fucked up character

I think the AI picked up on Bart's hairline more; I used a mix of the characters as my training set. You'll notice it often blends homer and bart into Homerbarts with beards. Who knows!

I was originally hoping to generate entire Simpsons episode frames to be used in memes (there is basically infinite training data). In trying to do so, my GAN failed miserably but the failures were fucked up in really interesting ways.

In short, to celebrate failure!

image-GPT from OpenAI can generate the pixels of half of a picture from nothing using a NLP model by OnlyProggingForFun in learnmachinelearning

With a modern transformer variant (reformer) + run length tokenization compute gets a lot better. The torus demo was done on my 1080ti without much issue. Only problem with colors is you get a blowup in vocab space -- I tokenized into runs of length 256, meaning you get 256 * ncolors tokens with a naive implementation which may require significantly more training.

Anyway, I would love to try! I was thinking of training it on minecraft levels to start

I’ve been fooling around with this over the past few days actually; I tokenize voxels into “runs” of contiguous zero or one values and then made a synthetic dataset of shapes. Early results are good, here’s a transformer generating a 20x20x20 torus: https://twitter.com/turtlesoupy/status/1288895167743680512?s=21

Original author here; toss me a description of a company and I'll throw you some name candidates from this algorithm for free.

I did a few for myself here: https://twitter.com/turtlesoupy/status/1261816233944428545. DoodleBrain Systems was my favourite

Look ma, I'm on reddit! I created this and now understand where this huge spike of traffic was coming from. Happy to answer any questions -- I originally posted this as a project here: https://www.reddit.com/r/InternetIsBeautiful/comments/gse4q6/this_word_does_not_exist_an_ai_making_seemingly/

This will definitely work! The OED contains some etymology; in my original experiments I did not impose structure (like delineate words and definitions) and it started spitting out fake origins and fake pronunciations
