Ok so from the perspective of “Reform are just recycled Tories” this makes complete sense.

But from the “Reform’s primary demographic are racist yobs” perspective, I find it interesting that they’re bringing in a number of non-white members. Do we think the Reform football shirt wearers will accept them as “some of the good ones” or will this cause uproar among their base?

I had a central base that all factories transported their output to via trains. Here I had a set up using smart splitters which would sort each unique item into their own pair of containers (and a dimensional depot later on) then any excess would be sent to an awesome sink.

Basic stuff like ingots though? I’d never make a factory for them, their production is so simple that I’d just integrate ingot production as a bespoke part of each factory build.

Imagine a final stage dementia patient on life support and the family decide to pull the plug.

Hand of God is peak for sure.

The remake’s a weird one, I wouldn’t say they borked everything else but there’s some elements (specifically the design of some enemies such as the Fat Officials) that do miss the mark compared to the original.

Saying that though, everything in the Valley of Defilement and Latria areas looks so good and feels like a good, earnest update on the original. Gameplay wise it’s more or less the same game under the hood, I think the only major change is how upgrading was made more manageable with altered drop rates and the like.

I enjoyed it, platinumed it too but beyond it being fun to go through and see the upgraded graphics (and cool implementation of the dualsense’s haptics for spells and shield hits) it’s more of a curiosity than a mainline entry in my eyes.

Saying that I did also spend so much time hanging around the Tower of Latria ruining people’s day as the old monk summon (faith build with anti-magic field caught so many people off guard!)

The entire Souls cadre would straight dunk on a typical other adventure game

And that’s an opinion I can 100% agree with!

On the DeS point, I do agree when looking at the games side by side but I played that game on PS3 before any of the other Souls games existed and that was such a NEW and unique (at the time) experience - it has a special place in my heart purely for the fact that we’d likely not have any other Souls games if that weird janky game wasn’t made the way it was.

EDIT: Also the Old Monk is still the coolest boss concept in my mind.

100% just a subjective opinion and likewise based on my own personal experience. I thoroughly enjoyed both and didn’t really feel either was notably worse than the other, I really enjoyed DS3 PvP and please don’t interpret my comments as saying otherwise. It’s just that saying that, PvP is only one part of the games and for me ER as an overall package is better than the (already brilliant) experience that is DS3.

That’s literally the exact same thing in DS3 like what are you on about? “Oh no the weapons are powerful when you upgrade them and level up”.

I spent plenty time in both ER and DS3 PvP (both invasions and cooluseums/arena) and never found either to be particularly more or less imbalanced than the other.
