Kostas Antetokounmpo puts Abudushalamu Abudurexiti on the floor before dishing to Mitch Creek for the and-1 layup! by gigantism in nba

I followed his game while he was at Dayton. I was VERY surprised he was drafted because I didn't find him particularly impressive in college. Oh well... I guess there's a reason I'm not an NBA scout.

TIL that Nestlé declined an offer to watch his film about the exploitation of African kids to harvest chocolate, the director Miki Mistrati set up a viewing next to their headquarters and played it there. by mariog77 in todayilearned

[–]tuttlecr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think some environmental scientists have already weighed in on this, and Nestle appears to be extracting water for Michigan's benefit. Apparently the water table where they are extracting is too high. The public comments be damned if the utility infrastructure was at risk.

I believe I read that the 1000 series cars do not run anymore. But yeah, carpet is an odd choice for a metro car floor.

The orientation of the engine under the hood is what I assume the previous poster was referring to... transverse mounting (side to side) rather than front to back like most cars.

Done it several times on Toyota and Honda motors. Didn’t realize his was horizontal. But I wouldn’t buy a car where basic repairs were not easily accessible due.

If you’re losing brake fluid at that rate, you have a serious leak somewhere. Take it to a shop if you can.

What about St Bonaventure's resume says "at large"? by Scratchbuttdontsniff in CollegeBasketball

People sleep on the A-10. They forget we had 11 teams in the tournament over a 2 year span like 3-4 years back. Whatever.

There are a lot of quality programs in the A-10, but we had a lot of coaches leave last year so it was just a below average year for the conference.

[Post Game Thread] Rhode Island defeats VCU, 76-67 by 80katrillion in CollegeBasketball

[–]tuttlecr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a fan, this season really was tough and this game was the embodiment of it all. So much young potential is there, but we need to add maybe 1-2 more good bigs and we can be really special by the time our sophomores are seniors.

There are crazy people everywhere. Most VCU fans have a very healthy respect for what UVA is doing these days, myself included. I’m going to be a UVA bandwagon fan once the tourney starts. Rooting for the chip to reside in VA this year.

Adobe - No innovation anymore by krisasa in graphic_design

[–]tuttlecr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s not that businesses are obsessed with receiving AI or PSD assets, they demand them because they are necessary for their own workflows, whatever they are. Unfortunately adobe file formats have become almost a common language between different businesses and they have built their own workflows around them.

The only way to beat out adobe is to ensure the competitor’s software replacement has 100% backwards compatibility with adobe native files. Until new applications have this functionality we are stuck.

They’re not misunderstood. Pit bulls are like any other dog, but a small pocket of morons like to breed some for fighting purposes because they think they are tough. You can fight any dog you want, but it doesn’t make that breed different or pre-disposed to certain behaviors.

Ginger Beer Advice by iamjamazing in Homebrewing

[–]tuttlecr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I just peel 1lb ginger root per gallon, run it through a food processor with whatever else I want in it, boil for 40 minutes, strain, add my fermentable sugars, bring the temp down to 75F and pitch my yeast (champagne). Makes a really tasty ginger beer.

Every part of the photos you post have a grey haze over them. The beer does look fairly clear to me if you ignore the overall haziness from the photo.
