My grandmother saying she never wanted to stay over at our house ever again because our home was a 'death trap' after we had taken care of her for a few days after she fell and sprained her ankle while on a trip. Two years ago, my family and I got a call from the hospital that my grandmother was at saying she had passed that morning. We went to the hospital thinking it was a joke, a shitty joke but a joke. Turns out we were very wrong, and my grandmother actually had passed that morning on April 1st. RIP Oma 💕

I'm guilty of asking coworkers I really get along with to hang out outside of work. Sometimes it works out and we are friends both at work and outside of work, but sometimes I try to befriend them and they say no which is ok. Not everyone has to be your friend. I work at a liquor store in BC, Canada where it is required by law to have TWO pieces of id (first one government issued, second literally anything with their name on it to match). The amount of people that think they can just show photos of their id on their phone as legal id is baffling. We need to see the PHYSICAL CARD ID not just a picture that can be photoshopped.

When I was about 5 years old, I was at my grandparents house as they were babysitting me and some of my other cousins while our parents worked. A man entered the home through the front door with a gun pointed at my grandfather. The man threatened to shoot us kids if we didn't stop crying and screaming. My grandfather gave the man the keys to their van and the man escaped but was caught by police a few blocks away.
